Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead intelligence gathering activities for US and Global marketing teams to support multiple assets across Amgen’s Business Units. This critical role will report directly to the Director of Commercial Insights.
Amgen is seeking a Customer Data & Analytics Manager – RDBU Insights & Analytics to support the development and execution of analytics that inform key decisions across Amgen’s Ultra-Rare medicines. This role will work closely with the Commercial, Access & Reimbursement, and Patient Services teams, contributing to both routine and ad hoc analytics that drive brand strategy and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data manipulation and visualization, experience with pharmaceutical datasets, and a desire to grow in a cross-functional environment.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Support the development of dashboards, reports, and analyses related to product performance, sales force effectiveness, and patient access metrics.
- Assist with analytics focused on Patient Services and Market Access, including claims analysis, hub data tracking, affordability program utilization, and payer trend monitoring.
- Conduct data pulls and ad hoc analyses using SQL, Python, or similar tools to support business questions and deliver timely insights to key stakeholders.
- Partner with Senior Manager- and Director-level team members to develop commercial KPIs, field reports, and insights presentations.
- Contribute to forecasting inputs and model support, including performance tracking against baseline assumptions.
- Support vendor data processing and validation, ensuring data accuracy from sources such as specialty pharmacies, claims aggregators, and market research providers.
- Participate in the development of presentation materials for senior leadership, helping to translate analytics into concise business narratives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of available internal and syndicated data sources and support data stewardship efforts.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree OR
- Master’s degree and 2 years of consulting, customer data & analyticsOR
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of consulting, customer data & analytics OR
- Associate’s degree and 8 years of consulting, customer data & analytics OR
- High school diploma / GED and 10 years of consulting, customer data & analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or R for data querying and analysis.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with biopharma data sources, including sales, claims, and patient-level data (e.g., hub services, copay, EMR).
- Exposure to or experience with Patient Services, Market Access, or Payer analytics a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a team-first mindset.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
