CDnA - Director, US Commercial Analytics

What you will do

As the Director of Commercial Analytics, you will play a critical role in leading and guiding the overall analytics strategy for UPLIZNA in the U.S., working to accelerate business growth and speed up commercial decision-making processes. You will manage and mentor a hard-working team, delivering actionable insights that support brand strategy development and measurement, while driving data-driven decision-making across key business functions.

This leader will be the primary point of contact between Executives, Marketing/Field Leaders, and cross-functional teams. You will oversee the development and delivery of robust secondary analytics, including National and Subnational insights, a KPI measurement framework, and other strategic recommendations that provide a clear and comprehensive understanding of business performance. By identifying risks, opportunities, and key growth drivers, you will help unlock barriers, optimize efficiencies, and guide business strategies toward accelerated growth.

This is a flexible commuter position to Amgen's site in Deerfield, IL Or in Thousand Oaks, CA, where you will work at least 2 - 3 times per week.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of analytics and/or reporting experience

Or

Master’s degree and 8 years of analytics and/or reporting experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of analytics and/or reporting experience

And

4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytics Strategy: Expertise in shaping and executing analytics strategies that align with business goals.

  • Advanced Data Analysis: Strong proficiency in using tools like SQL, VBA, and Python to analyze complex commercial data.

  • Commercial Competence: Deep understanding of pharmaceutical business analytics, with experience in driving sales, marketing strategies, and market positioning.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts while driving high performance.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work with a variety of stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, and IT to drive alignment and action

  • Communication: Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and present them to senior executives.

  • Business Insights: Ability to identify trends and opportunities in commercial data that drive business growth and optimization.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
