CD&A - Commercial Analytics Manager, Patient & Access
What you will do

Amgen is seeking a Manager, Commercial Insights, Patient & Access Analytics to lead the development and delivery of analytics supporting the Gout Business Unit across patient funnel and payer access dynamics. This role partners closely with Brand, Patient Services, Market Access, and Sales leadership to deliver reporting and insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate has strong reporting and analytics capabilities, including SQL-based data manipulation and data visualization, with a demonstrated ability to translate patient-level and payer data into actionable business insights for senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Own reporting and analytics related to the patient funnel, including enrollments, initiations, adherence, time-to-fill, treatment status, engagement, and drop-off points.
Deliver clear, timely, and actionable insights to Brand POD (cross-functional analytics matrix team) to inform strategic and tactical decisions.
Conduct ad hoc and deep-dive analyses to address complex patient access and reimbursement questions.
Develop dashboards, recurring reports, and executive-ready presentations to support senior leadership discussions.
Ensure data accuracy, quality control, and clarity of communication across all reporting outputs.
Partner with cross-functional analytics teams to align on KPIs and deliver a cohesive “story behind the data.”
Collaborate with Market Access analytics to assess payer coverage, reimbursement trends, and access barriers.
Provide a comprehensive view of the patient journey, highlighting opportunities to optimize access, adherence, and patient experience.
Manage and integrate multiple data sources (e.g., hub services, specialty pharmacy, claims, and internal data systems).

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of market research/analytics experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of market research/analytics experience OR
Associate’s degree and 8 years of market research/analytics experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of market research/analytics experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or R for querying and data analysis
Proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Familiarity with pharma datasets including sales, claims, hub, EMR, and patient-level data
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and documentation
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience tailoring insights for senior leadership

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
