Accountabilities
- Develop and own specific areas of the warehouse system business process blueprints and warehouse system solution development and templates
- Own warehouse system business process specifications in Amgen’s DQMS
- Own and drive business tasks during planning, requirements gathering, design, build, test, migration, training and deployment
- Lead warehouse system changes from initiation to deployment
- Support warehouse capacity master data maintenance and validation, analysis and scenario assessment and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure uninterrupted production and supply driven by AIN warehouse business team in processes, systems and capacity
- Lead business requirement gathering and process mapping as input for the warehouse system business process blueprints and solution templates, with Site SMEs, Technology and other stakeholders
- Own defined warehouse system validation tasks, documents and assessments
- Drive and govern warehouse process/system implementation tasks
- Own, develop and document warehouse training content and documentation, AVs, LAs, training qualifications (TRNQs)
- Define, document and maintain warehousing system user roles, approve user role assignments and perform periodic audits.
- Drive CCMS Changes as owner or assessor
- Maintain strong ties with Sites, Manufacturing, GSC, Technology, Technology partners and other stakeholders, collaborating to achieve best results for Amgen, optimize per the READ operating framework
- Independently identify opportunities and assess impact of technologies, best practices, trends and events for Amgen’s business processes and systems
- Showcase continuous improvement mindset to identify and deliver savings and improvements
- Drive results to the finish line and strive for best-in-class warehousing supporting Manufacturing and Supply
- Actively contribute to Community of Practice (CoP) collaboration, sharing and development
- Support Warehouse Capacity Manager in ensuring uninterrupted production and supply by warehouse capacity and inventory placement
Authority
- Work under minimal direction. Work is directed by strategic and project objectives
- Manage multiple priorities independently and concurrently
- Expert advisor on warehouse system business process blueprints and solution templates; decision maker on owned documents, tasks and led system changes
- Lead a small team across AIN Processes, Systems and Capacity
Outputs
- Warehouse system business process blueprints and solution templates
- Approved validation records and assessments (ISA, System Description, DIA)
- Warehouse system specifications (RS, CS/DS, Test Scripts & Sets, VAL, RTM, Training)
- On time delivery and deployment of warehouse systems and warehouse system changes
- Trusted owner of warehouse capacity data, dashboards, risks and utilization insights
Qualifications
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Logistics or logistic knowledge by experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a warehousing/distribution environment, preferably in pharma
- In-depth SAP/WMS design and implementation experience, preferably EWM
- Leadership of a small expert team, collaborating with remote stakeholders/partners
- Process mindset: cross-functional process understanding, insight and visualization
- Distill, negotiate and communicate business requirements per strategic direction
- Independent self-starter, able to work autonomously, under pressure and in teams
- Motivated, persistent, eager to optimize, drive for excellence, continuously improve

- Experience in related function, such as Planning
- Experience with Rapid Response, Databricks and Power BI
