We are now looking for a Sr. Associate Finance to join our Amgen (Europe) GmbH Finance organization, based at Amgen India. In this role, you will support regional and global finance teams with planning, forecasting, and performance analysis. This is an exciting opportunity for a technology-driven finance professional eager to use innovation and automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and insight generation.

You will work closely with experienced finance leaders, data and systems experts, and business partners across functions, helping to build a smarter, more connected finance function that delivers value through technology.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support business planning and decision making through financial analysis

  • Partner with ELMAC functions to support financial analysis and reporting.

  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing activities including accruals and journal entries, perform variance analysis.

  • Contribute to transformational initiatives through automation solution and financial process improvements to streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis.

  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and business case development to drive better decision-making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support site objectives as required.

  • Help shape a data-driven culture within the finance team by introducing innovative approaches to problem-solving.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree and 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields

Functional Skills:

Must have skills:

  • Relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and manufacturing industry

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and present results in a clear and concise manner.

  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP and consolidation tools and Hyperion planning system

  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power Automate, UiPath) and/or scripting languages such as Python or SQL.

  • Proficient with MS Office systems, particularly Excel and Power Point and visualization tools

  • Detail oriented and able to handle fast paced environment while delivering timely results

Good to have skills:

  • Understand Continuous improvement concepts

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.

  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills (English)

  • Energetic, detailed oriented, highly motivated with a “can do” outlook
