Specialist IS Engineer - MuleSoft

What you will do

The Mulesoft Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.

• Take ownership of complex software projects from conception to deployment
• Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline
• Possesses strong rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology
• Develop innovative solution using generative AI technologies
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency to standard processes
• Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations
• Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements
• Work closely with product team, business team, and other partners
• Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements
• Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems and translate them into software architecture and design specifications
• Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software
• Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues
• Work closely with multi-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver high-quality software on time
• Maintain detailed documentation of software designs, code, and development processes
• Customize modules to meet specific business requirements
• Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with 4 - 6 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 6 - 8 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field OR
• Diploma with 10 - 12 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field
• Proficiency in MuleSoft development standard processes to create efficient, scalable, and high-quality integration solutions
• Experience integrating MuleSoft solutions with external platforms and data sources such as Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft PowerApps and AWS or Azure
• Experience in applying source control systems such as GIT to manage Mulesoft code and configuration
• Experience in testing, validating, and refining work to maintain the quality and functionality of integration solutions
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, and other integration standards
• Experience in implementing enforce API security, data transformation, and error handling standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in designing and implementing modular integration solutions that deliver incremental business value and align with overall project goals and architectural principles
• Experience in optimizing and improving existing code, collaborating with the dev lead and architect to align with the architecture runway and strategic objectives
• Understanding of data models, schema design, and relationships for efficient application functionality in integration solution.
• Proficiency in modern software engineering practices, such as infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and modular design principles
• Skills in analyzing data and creating visualizations to monitor execution metrics and integration performance
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including the ability to execute tasks aligned with definitions of done and deliver planned value in each sprint
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and multi-functional teams to define integration strategy and governance

• MuleSoft Certified Developer
