Amgen India is located in HITEC City, a suburb of Hyderabad, occupying six floors of the RMZ Spire Tower 110. The city of Hyderabad, located in the state of Telangana, well known for its world-class talent across medicine, life sciences and data sciences and the rapidly advancing field of artificial intelligence (AI). The site can accommodate up to 3,000 people and is operational since Q4 2024. ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
In this vital role you will join the Contracts Management Product Team in Amgen’s Global Commercial Operations & Corporate Functions Technology organization a as Product Owner and IS Business Systems Analyst. The role is responsible for supporting US Commercial Contract Development business function, leading Contract Lifecycle Management software product features, full cycle Product Owner including SAFe Agile DevOps, CI/CD and process automation, and Conga platform application implementation with workflows and system integrations.
The role leverages domain and business process expertise to detail product requirements as epics and user stories, along with supporting artifacts like business process maps, use cases, and test plans for the software development teams. This role involves working closely with developers and business analysts to ensure that the technical requirements for upcoming development are thoroughly elaborated. This enables the delivery team to estimate, plan, and commit to delivery with high confidence and identify test cases and scenarios to ensure the quality and performance of IT Systems. You will collaborate with Product Managers and developers to maintain an efficient and consistent process, ensuring quality deliverables from the team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Gain a strong working knowledge of contract lifecycle processes and supporting systems including Salesforce, Conga CPQ, and Conga CLM.
- Collaborate with System Architects, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to ensure product requirements align with both business goals and technical capabilities.
- Capture the voice of internal and external users to define product needs, business workflows, and usability requirements.
- Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to define scope, prioritize enhancements, and clarify the expected value of new features.
- Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring non-functional requirements are identified and included in backlog planning.
- Work closely with Engineering and UX teams to support design and development activities, ensuring technical solutions reflect business process needs and user experience standards.
- Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and feature refinement sessions, including breaking down epics into features and user stories suitable for implementation.
- Ensure clarity and alignment of the product backlog by regularly reviewing progress, dependencies, and delivery risks with development teams.
- Support product testing by validating functionality against defined requirements and acceptance criteria. Provide feedback and track issues during UAT cycles.
- Maintain accurate documentation for product configurations, business processes, and change history to support implementation, adoption, and support.
- Deliver product demos and updates to stakeholders to communicate functionality, adoption plans, and roadmap alignment.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters'/ Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Analytics, Information Systems or a relevant field of study and 8 years of Salesforce/Conga CPQ and CLM implementation.
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst in an IT environment.
Functional Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience working in Agile frameworks (Scrum/SAFe) using Jira and Confluence.
- Proven ability to define solution architecture, technical designs, and standards for Salesforce and Conga platforms.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning) and how they integrate into enterprise solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business leaders and product teams.
- Experience in managing product features for PI planning and developing product roadmaps and user journeys
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Hands-on expertise or strong familiarity with Conga CLM and Conga CPQ, including design and optimization of quote-to-cash and contract lifecycle processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) processes, including workflow design, stakeholder onboarding, and compliance alignment.
- Technical thought leadership
- Able to communicate technical or complex subject matters in business terms
- Jira Align experience
- Experience of DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery methodology
Professional Certifications:
- SAFe for Teams certification (must have)
- Leading SAFe certificate (preferred)
