ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description:

In this role, you will design, build and deliver AI-enabled full-stack solutions that support Contracting Operations and Revenue Management platforms within Amgen’s Global Commercial Operations and Corporate Functions Technology organization.

Your work will focus on integrating AI capabilities into practical full-stack solutions that reduce manual effort, improve data quality and increase process efficiency. You will partner with business, product and engineering teams to translate operational challenges into scalable technology solutions. This role is suited for senior engineers who are comfortable working across multiple systems, learning new domains over time and owning delivery from concept through implementation.

You will operate within a defined problem space, partnering with senior leaders to shape solution approaches and guide implementation across a small team. You will make design and implementation decisions within your scope, aligned to broader architectural direction. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership from design through delivery while actively building and implementing solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, build and deliver robust enterprise-grade full-stack AI applications using React ,Node.js Python and Large Language Model APIs.
• Develop and support integrations using APIs and middleware.
• Translate business requirements for automation into technical designs and implement solution components across enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Databricks and Model N.
• Contribute to AI-driven use cases including workflow automation and lightweight assistant capabilities that enhance user productivity.
• Prototype AI automation solutions and iterate rapidly prioritizing simple maintainable and platform-first designs.
• Collaborate with architecture AI platform teams and cross-functional partners to align solutions with enterprise standards.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers through design alignment code reviews and implementation support.
• Break down solutions into clear components and ensure quality through engineering best practices and reviews.
• Own end-to-end delivery of AI automation solutions from design through stabilization driving measurable improvements in cycle time data quality and operational efficiency.

Technology Focus Areas:

• Design and implement generative AI full-stack applications and AI-driven automation solutions that enable workflow orchestration and process optimization.
• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js, microservices and APIs.
• Build and integrate frontend applications using React.
• Utilize enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Conga CLM/CPQ, Model N, Databricks and Anaplan to deliver integrated solutions.
• Leverage AI orchestration frameworks, APIs and machine learning libraries to build intelligent, scalable solutions.
• Work with AI assistants and copilots, vector search, embedding-based retrieval and prompt-driven workflows within enterprise platforms.
• Apply knowledge of data structures and models supporting contract lifecycle, pricing and revenue management processes.
• Integrate with enterprise AI services such as Azure OpenAI or similar platforms to enable advanced AI capabilities.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree and 8-12 years of experience
• 4+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise full-stack applications, including AI-enabled or automation-focused solutions.
• Experience building full-stack applications using Node.js, microservices architecture and frontend frameworks such as React.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks, APIs, machine learning libraries, automation tools, workflows and scripting to build intelligent and scalable solutions.
• Experience developing integrations using APIs, middleware or event-driven architecture.
• Ability to evaluate when AI-driven approaches are appropriate versus when deterministic automation is more suitable.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across product, engineering and business function

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Node.js, Java, React and Python-based automation.
• Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks, APIs and machine learning libraries.
• Exposure to Salesforce and Databricks.
• Experience configuring workflows, rules or automation within enterprise platforms.
• Experience supporting system integrations or data synchronization processes.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
• Demonstrated progression in taking on increasingly complex technical responsibilities within a team setting.
