ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description:

In this role, you will design, build and deliver Automation and AI-enabled solutions that support Contracting Operations and Revenue Management platforms within Amgen’s Global Commercial Operations and Corporate Functions Technology organization.

You will work across systems including Salesforce, Conga CLM and CPQ, Model N, MuleSoft, Databricks and Anaplan to improve how contracting and pricing workflows operate end to end. Your work will focus on integrating AI capabilities and executing defined components of solutions that reduce manual effort, improve data quality and increase process efficiency with direct impact on revenue operations at a global scale.

You will partner with business, product, and engineering teams to turn operational problems into practical, scalable solutions. This role is for engineers who are comfortable working across multiple systems and learning new ones over time. You are not expected to have deep expertise in every platform on day one.

You will operate within a defined problem space, partnering with senior leaders to shape solution approaches and guide implementation across a small team. You will make design and implementation decisions within your scope, aligned to broader architectural direction. This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership from design through delivery while actively building and implementing solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deliver AI-driven automation solutions across contracting workflows, focusing on scalability, reliability, and business impact.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and implement solutions across Salesforce, Conga CLM/CPQ, Model N and related platforms
• Support end-to-end contract lifecycle and enable pricing, revenue and forecasting workflows across CPQ, Model N and Anaplan.
• Develop and manage integrations using APIs, MuleSoft and event-driven patterns.
• Apply AI where it adds value (e.g., contract summarization, insights, workflow automation) and support embedded assistants/copilots.
• Prototype and iterate rapidly, prioritizing simple, maintainable and platform-first solutions
• Collaborate with architecture, AI platform teams and cross-functional partners to align with enterprise standards.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers through design alignment, reviews and implementation support.
• Break down solutions into clear components and ensure quality through best practices and reviews.
• Own end-to-end delivery from design to stabilization, driving measurable improvements in cycle time, data quality and operational efficiency.

Technology Focus Areas:

• Implementation of Generative AI and their application in business workflows, along with knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Exposure to workflow automation and orchestration tools such as Salesforce Flow and similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms including Salesforce, Conga CLM/CPQ, Model N, MuleSoft, Databricks and Anaplan.
• Understanding of system integration patterns, including APIs, event-driven architecture and data synchronization.
• Exposure to AI assistants and copilots within enterprise platforms, including those embedded within enterprise applications.
• Experience with rules-based automation and system configuration for business process optimization.
• Knowledge of data models supporting contract lifecycle, pricing, and revenue management.
• Familiarity with prompt-based interactions, AI-assisted workflow capabilities and prompt design and orchestration.
• Exposure to integration with enterprise AI services such as Azure OpenAI or similar platforms.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree and 8-12 years of experience

AND

• 4+ years of experience building automation and integration solutions across enterprise platforms preferably across CRM/CPQ, Data, Analytics and AI.

• Hands-on experience with SaaS platforms such as Salesforce or similar ecosystems.

• Experience developing integrations using APIs, middleware or event-driven architectures building scalable and intelligent solutions.

• Ability to evaluate when AI-driven approaches are appropriate versus deterministic automation.
• Hands-on experience applying AI-enabled solutions, including Generative AI in business or operational workflows.
• Proficient in Java/Python with hands-on experience in automation and AI-driven solutions.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and business functions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Salesforce, Conga CLM/CPQ, Model N, MuleSoft, Databricks, or Anaplan.
• Experience delivering workflow automation and system integrations in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with prompt design or AI-assisted workflow tools.
• Experience implementing rules-based automation and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience applying Generative AI in enterprise applications with measurable impact.
• Experience building internal tools, assistants, or productivity enhancements.
