Senior Associate, Talent Management, University Relations – Intern Program

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will manage Amgen’s intern program end to end as part of the University Relations team, creating a structured, engaging, and high-impact experience for interns from Day 1 onboarding through program completion and exit. You will partner closely with hiring managers, business leaders, Talent Acquisition, HR partners, and university stakeholders to ensure interns are aligned to meaningful projects, receive timely support, and experience Amgen’s mission, culture, and career opportunities in a compelling way.

You will play a key role in strengthening Amgen’s early talent pipeline by driving intern program operations, development experiences, bootcamps, evaluations, engagement activities, and employer branding initiatives such as intern testimonials and program success stories. This role requires strong program management, stakeholder partnership, communication, and execution discipline to deliver a consistent, inclusive, and impactful intern experience across functions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end intern program lifecycle, including onboarding, engagement, learning experiences, performance check-ins, evaluations, conversion support, and exit activities.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure interns are assigned relevant, well-scoped, and business-aligned projects that provide meaningful learning and measurable impact.
  • Design and execute intern onboarding experiences that help interns understand Amgen’s mission, ways of working, expectations, resources, and support channels from Day 1.
  • Assess the health of the intern cohort through structured touchpoints, pulse checks, manager feedback, intern evaluations, and program metrics.
  • Plan, coordinate, and run intern bootcamps, learning sessions, speaker series, networking events, project showcases, and engagement forums.
  • Drive intern communication rhythm, including program calendars, milestone updates, manager guidance, intern reminders, feedback timelines, and closing communications.
  • Work with managers and HR partners to identify and resolve intern experience risks, project misalignment, engagement concerns, or performance-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead intern performance and evaluation processes, ensuring feedback is collected, documented, reviewed, and used to support development and potential conversion decisions.
  • Build and execute intern branding initiatives, including intern testimonials, project spotlights, success stories, campus-facing content, and internal storytelling.
  • Partner with University Relations and Talent Acquisition teams to align intern program activities with campus hiring, employer branding, and early talent strategy.
  • Track intern program data, feedback, participation, satisfaction, project outcomes, and conversion indicators to identify insights and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Create and maintain program playbooks, onboarding materials, manager guides, evaluation templates, communication plans, and process documentation.
  • Support intern exit processes, including final presentations, feedback capture, knowledge transition, offboarding coordination, and alumni engagement opportunities.
