ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description:

TheSpecialist – SAP Architect, Integrationwillbe responsible forarchitecting, designing, and leading the implementationof scalable and secure integration solutions across Amgen’sGlobal ERP landscape. This role requires deepexpertiseinSAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite,API Management, andSAP Process Orchestration (PO)to enable seamless connectivity across SAP and non-SAP systems.

As a key member of the Enterprise Integration Architecture team, you will drive themigrations,from SAP ECC to S/4HANAand from PI/PO to SAP BTP, defineintegration architecture standards, and lead the adoption ofmodern, API-led, event-driven integration models. You will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure integration solutions align with Amgen’s“Clean Core” ERP visionand overalldigital transformation strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Integration Architecture Leadership: Define and enhance Amgen’s enterprise integration strategy, principles, and roadmap foron-premiseand cloud ERP systems using SAP BTP Integration Suite, SAP CPI, and SAP Process Orchestration (PO).

• Solution Design & Delivery:Architect and oversee the development, configuration, and deployment of complex SAP integration solutions, enabling smooth migration to SAP S/4HANA.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with Solution Architects, business stakeholders, and external vendorsto designhigh-performance, secure, and scalable integration frameworks.

• Security & Compliance:Implement secure communication protocols (OAuth 2.0, PGP encryption, certificate-based authentication) and enforce API governance and compliance standards across all integration layers.

• Monitoring & Performance Management:Define and implement monitoring and alerting frameworks for proactive performance management and troubleshooting of integration flows across SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Governance & Standardization:Establishand enforce governance processes, coding standards, and documentation best practices to ensure consistent and reliable interface development.

• Innovation & Modernization:Drive the adoption of SAP BTP capabilities, including API Management, Event Mesh, and Intelligent Automation, fostering a modular, future-ready integration landscape.

• Clean Core Enablement:Champion API-led and event-driven architectures that minimize customization and support Amgen’s S/4HANA Clean Core ERP strategy.

• Continuous Improvement:Stay abreast of SAP technology advancements and guide teams in adopting new tools, frameworks, and methodologies tooptimizeintegration efficiency.

Basic Qualifications and Experience

• Doctorate degree OR

• Master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 4 to 6 years of IT or related field experience OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 6 to10years of IT or related field experience OR

• Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 10 to 12 years of IT or related field experience

TechnicalSkills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience withSAP BTP Integration Suite(CPI, API Management, Event Mesh) andSAP Process Orchestration (PO).

• Strong backgroundin SAP S/4HANA integration, including integrations withAriba, Concur, Fieldglass, and other third-party systems.

• Deep understanding ofAPI-led integration patterns, OData, RESTful, and SOAP web services.

• Proven ability to design and governAPI Management frameworksensuring scalability, version control, and security.

• Strong commandonintegrationsecurity principles, including OAuth 2.0, SAML, PGP encryption, and TLS/SSL certificates.

• Demonstratedexpertiseinmonitoring tools, error handling, and performance tuningfor complex integration landscapes.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in thedesign and development of ATTP integrationwith SAP core systems and other third-party products.

• Working knowledgeof cloud platforms(AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud integration patterns.

• ExperienceleveragingSAP BTP services such asEvent Mesh, Integration Advisor, and Workflow Management for intelligent process automation.

• Exposure toSAPBTP-B2Bfor EDI integrations.

• ProficiencyinAgile/DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelinesusing Jenkins, Git, Jira, and Azure DevOps for continuous delivery of integration solutions.

• Understanding ofevent-driven architectures and microservicesfor scalable system interoperability.
