ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description:

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA GTS solutions. Expertise in overall Order to Cash is critical for this role including Sales Order, Delivery, Shipping and Invoicing knowledge.  This role focuses on leveraging SAP technologies to streamline and enhance Order to Cash and GTS processes, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices. As an SAP Principal Solution architect, you will work closely with operations IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and configure solutions, and provide post-implementation support. This position requires deep expertise in SAP GTS, SD and LE modules with a solid understanding of overall Order to Cash space.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, configuration, and optimization of Global Trade System, SD and LE modules in SAP S/4.
  • Ensure seamless integration between SAP S/4 modules SD, LE, MM, FI, PP, TM, ATTP, GTS, EAS, Ariba, and EWM) as well as non-SAP systems involved.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of critical documentation such as functional designs, test cases, and user manuals. Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in ERP implementation projects, including blueprinting, gap analysis, testing, go-live, and post-production support.
  • Lead/Oversee and mentor other architects and team members to ensure the effective execution of the projects and services
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to deliver and sustain Amgen's S/4HANA ecosystem utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Develop innovative solutions that drive speed to value via AI/ML and leading control practices

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Any degree with 12 - 17 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP GTS, SD, LE and MM

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience configuring and customizing SAP S/4 GTS, SD and LE
  • Strong understanding of Import and Export requirements as well as Inter and Intra company stock transfers.
  • Ability to design and implement solutions based on business requirements, including debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in creating detailed documentation, including functional specifications, test cases, and compliance reports.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 Inbound logistics and warehouse management process, Transportation management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies for software delivery and process improvement.

Professional Certifications:

  • SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP S/4 Hana GTS, SD and LE  
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred)

 Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Shift Information:

This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second shift schedule. Candidates must be willing and able to work during evening or night shifts, as required based on business requirements.
