ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
This role worksat the intersection of clinicaltrialoperations, technology, and external partnershipand is critical forsupportingthe successful delivery of Amgen’s global clinical trials.
As a Lead Business Analyst, you will act as a trusted technology partner to global clinical trial teams, enabling the effective use ofAmgentechnologiesbyspecialistexternal suppliers.You’ll haveresponsibilityfor managingB2Bsolutions for one or more capabilityareaand for overseeing activities of other Business Analysts.
You’llpartner closelywith clinical teams, product owners, technology partners, and externalsuppliersto translate complex business needsand problemsinto compliant, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Buildingand maintaining strongrelationshipsacrossan extensive network of internal and external stakeholders.
Leadcomprehensivebusiness analysis to identify,understandandprioritizeIT requirements in the product backlog.
Owntheimplementation anddelivery ofITsolutions and services forone or moresuppliercapabilityareaswithinproduct team.
Coordinating the activities of other analysts on the product team.
EnsuringITsolutionscomply with regulationsand information security policies.
Partnering withtechnologyownersto deliverB2B connectivity, integrations and collaboration solutions.
Assessing new suppliers againstAmgen’sIT requirements anddocumenting gaps andrisks.
Supportingchangemanagementandend user communication for largeuser groups.
Maintainingaccurate documentation of systems and processes.
Staying informedon the changing internalandexternal IT landscapeand continue to evolve and adapttheIT solutionsstrategytomaximizeeffectiveness.
Basic Qualifications and Experience:
Any degree with 8 - 13 yearsofexperienceworking inLife Science,BiotechnologyorInformationSystems
Functional Skills:
Must-Have Skills:
Adetailedunderstanding of the clinical trial process and thesystemsusedto execute study delivery(EDC, CTMS, eTMF.et.c.)
Customer focused anda provenbusiness relationship managerwho is confident whenworking withtechnical and non-technicalseniorstakeholders.
Collaborative team player withexcellentverbal and written communication skills; able toinfluence and leadeffectively across global, cross-functional and remote stakeholders.
Experience of overseeing and coordinating the work of other Business Analysts
Ability to lead business analysis activitiestocapture and prioritize requirements through interviews and workshops.
KnowledgeofB2B and integration technologies, including APIs, secure file transfers, VPN’sandVirtual desktops
Confident atdocumenting complextestable business requirementsasclearuser storiesand in formal specification documentation.
Analytical, detail orientatedwithexcellentproblem-solving skills.
Experience of working with or as an externaltechnical service supplier.
Practical experience andunderstanding of Agilemethodologies, particularly the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience of working with or for a clinical trial supplier (CRO, Lab, Imaging,e.t.c.)
Working inaregulatedenvironment where compliance and information security is essential
Ability toProject manage complexlonger termdeliverables,
ProficiencyinIT servicedeliverytools such as Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence.
An advocate ofthe useofDevOps,AIandTest Automation in delivery
Professional Certifications(please mention if the certification is preferred or mandatory for the role):
Business Analysis certifications (IIBABABOK) or similar (preferred)
CertifiedSAFefor Teamsor similar (preferred)

Shift Information:
This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second or third shift schedule. Candidates must be willing and able to work during evening or night shifts, as required based on business requirements.
