Director, G&A and Technology Finance - India
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic, operationally strong finance leader to lead our G&A Finance organization in India. This role will manage and develop the local team while partnering closely with global G&A and Technology leaders to support disciplined operating-expense planning, forecasting, reporting, and project controls.
The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with practical expertise in G&A and technology finance, including OPEX planning, Anaplan, budgeting and forecasting, and governance of technology investments. They will bring structure, business insight, and financial rigor to a fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop the India-based G&A Finance team, establishing clear priorities, high standards of execution, and a strong culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Partner with G&A and Technology business leaders to support the annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, monthly reporting, and variance analysis.
- Support OPEX planning processes for G&A, including Technology, with a focus on data quality, transparency, accuracy, and timely decision support.
- Serve as a key finance lead for Anaplan, including model administration and improvement, planning-cycle execution, user support, reporting, and adoption of consistent planning practices.
- Help lead the Technology Project Controls team, providing oversight for financial governance across technology programs and investments.
- Help maintain project-control practices for technology initiatives, including budget tracking, forecast-at-completion, headcount and vendor spend, capitalization considerations where applicable, and risk/escalation reporting.
- Partner with Accounting, Procurement, People, Technology, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, purchase-order discipline, vendor-spend management, and efficient close processes.
- Improve finance processes, systems, and reporting through automation, standardized templates, stronger controls, and scalable operating rhythms.
- Support executive and functional leadership with concise financial narratives and materials for operating reviews, planning cycles, and strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting and financial-governance requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Chartered accountant, Cost Accountant, CPA or a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or Business & Administration
- 18+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, G&A Finance, Technology Finance, Project Controls, or a related finance discipline.
Skills required
- Demonstrated people-management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, prioritization, and building high-performing teams.
- Strong experience supporting OPEX budgeting, forecasting, monthly close support, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Experience supporting Technology, Engineering, IT, or Digital organizations, with an understanding of technology cost structures, vendor spend, labor planning, and program or project financial management.
- Hands-on experience with Anaplan or a comparable enterprise planning platform; Anaplan model-building or administration experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with technology project controls, including budget governance, project forecasting, financial risk management, and investment reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations.
- Advanced Excel and presentation skills; familiarity with ERP, procurement, reporting, and BI tools is preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across Finance, G&A, and Technology.
