What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will be part of the Amgen India Site Operations team and support the continued growth, operational maturity, and resilience of the AIN site.

The Business Performance Manager will be working on process excellence, business performance improvement, automation, process re-engineering initiatives and other site programs across AIN Site Operations. This role will partner with site functions and cross-functional stakeholders to simplify workflows, solve business problems, improve execution, and implement scalable solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency, quality, and decision-making.

The role will also support site operational readiness for critical business processes, including process mapping, dependency analysis, readiness documentation, exercise support, lessons learned, and action tracking. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can create structure in ambiguous environments, work with imperfect or limited data, and drive projects to closure through disciplined execution and practical problem-solving.

This position will report into AIN Site Operations and partner closely with site leadership, functional teams, Business Resilience leadership, Global Business Continuity Management, Business Process Owners, technology partners, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Business Performance Manager include:

Lead and execute process excellence, automation, process re-engineering, and business performance improvement projects from opportunity identification through implementation and benefits realization.

Partner with site functions to assess current-state processes, identify pain points, map workflows, quantify inefficiencies, and design future-state processes that are simple, scalable, and effective.

Apply structured improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, customer /employee journey and process mapping to solve business problems and deliver measurable outcomes.

Use hands-on data analysis, dashboards, reports, scorecards, and process metrics to diagnose issues, identify trends, establish baselines, monitor performance, and support leadership decision-making.

Work effectively with fragmented, inconsistent, manual, incomplete, or unavailable data by establishing practical data collection approaches, proxy measures, or simple measurement systems.

Identify and implement automation opportunities using relevant tools and platforms to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, increase process reliability, and enhance stakeholder experience.

Create structure in ambiguous problem spaces by clarifying objectives, identifying stakeholders, defining success measures, organizing available information, and building clear execution plans.

Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, process design sessions, and problem-solving forums to align teams, make decisions, and drive action.

Support site and business operational readiness for critical business processes, including process mapping, dependency identification, role clarity, continuity and recovery documentation, readiness exercises, lessons learned, and action tracking.

Drive projects and improvement actions to closure with clear ownership, disciplined follow-through, stakeholder engagement, issue escalation, and benefits realization.

Build strong relationships with site leadership, functional stakeholders, global partners, and enabling teams to understand priorities and convert them into actionable improvement plans.
