Business Continuity Engineer – Operational Resilience & AI Automation

What you will do

In this vital role you will lead the modernization and continuous improvement of the Business Continuity program while partnering with the Disaster Recovery team to strengthen enterprise operational resilience. The Sr. Associate serves as the Business Continuity program lead, driving Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity planning, dependency management, AI-enabled modernization, orchestration, telemetry, reusable services, testing, governance, and continuous improvement. The role develops working knowledge of Disaster Recovery processes and provides initial analysis, triage, coordination, and support for technology recovery activities, escalating complex recovery issues to Disaster Recovery specialists as appropriate.

• Provide input and feedback on Global Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Services strategy, requirements, standards, procedures, processes, training, templates, tools, metrics, and reporting.
• Lead and collaborate with business clients, IT, operations, risk management, and global virtual teams in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Business Continuity plans and capabilities, while partnering with the Disaster Recovery team to support technology recovery planning and coordination.
• Lead Business Continuity (BC) process analysis, including stakeholder engagement, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plan (BCP) development, quality assurance, dependency mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organizational resilience.
• Develop working knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) processes and provide initial analysis, triage, coordination, and support for Disaster Recovery planning and recovery activities. Escalate complex technology recovery activities to Disaster Recovery specialists while ensuring alignment between Business Continuity requirements and technology recovery capabilities.
• Lead enterprise dependency mapping across business processes, vendors, suppliers, technology, personnel, facilities, and critical resources to strengthen Business Continuity planning while supporting Disaster Recovery readiness.
• Lead the use of Agentic AI to modernize Business Impact Analysis (BIA), ensuring critical business data, dependencies, and recovery requirements are accurately reflected to improve continuity planning.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of AI-enabled Business Continuity Plan (BCP) generation and maintenance, ensuring plans remain current, resilient, and aligned to business priorities.
• Lead identification and visibility of Key Computerized Systems (KCSs) and Critical Systems to improve Business Continuity planning and support Disaster Recovery prioritization.
• Lead continuous analysis of critical business services, KCSs, and supporting technologies to identify impacts to Business Continuity plans and communicate recovery considerations to Disaster Recovery stakeholders.
• Lead governance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of AI-enabled Business Continuity workflows, ensuring appropriate fallback, override, recovery, and escalation mechanisms are incorporated.
• Lead engineering efforts to optimize and modernize Business Continuity exercises / testing, coordinating cross-functional participation, documenting lessons learned, and driving corrective actions. Partner with Disaster Recovery specialists to validate alignment between business processes and technology recovery capabilities.

• Lead engineering efforts for risk assessments and program governance activities.
• Research, interpret results, analyze data, and present information to technical and non-technical stakeholders to inform continuous improvement of BC program standards, procedures, processes, training, templates, tools, metrics, and reporting.
• Provide functional leadership and guidance to business partners on Business Continuity planning tools, methodologies, documentation standards, and operational resilience practices, while supporting Disaster Recovery documentation as needed.

Authority

• Advises management and business partners on Business Continuity strategy, program maturity, operational resilience, dependency visibility, governance, and AI-enabled modernization. Serves as the primary Business Continuity advisor while coordinating with Disaster Recovery leadership to ensure Business Continuity requirements are incorporated into technology recovery planning and preparedness.

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree OR,
• Bachelor's degree and 5 to 9 years of experience in Risk Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field and,
• Familiarity with automation concepts, AI-enabled workflows, and Agentic AI principles, with the ability and willingness to learn and apply emerging technologies to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree educated in a business-related, information systems, computer science, risk management, or related subject.
• Strong/proven project management skills to meet deliverables and goals.
• Experience leading Business Continuity planning, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plan (BCP) development, dependency mapping, testing, governance, risk assessment, and operational resilience initiatives, with working knowledge of Disaster Recovery planning and recovery coordination.
• Experience designing, implementing, integrating, testing, maintaining, and continuously improving Agentic AI-enabled workflows across enterprise platforms.
• Experience designing AI-enabled workflows that identify process improvements while incorporating governance, fallback, override, recovery, and escalation capabilities.
• Experience ensuring policy and standard compliance for AI or Agentic AI builds.
• Experience applying AI or Agentic AI to automate Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning, plan generation, dependency mapping, process analysis, reporting, and exercise development.
• Experience mapping dependencies across vendors, suppliers, technology, resources, critical systems, and other factors that influence BC/DR readiness.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical, troubleshooting, learning agility, initiative, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams and independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Hours: This position requires you to work on the third shift. Candidates must be willing and able to work during night shifts, as required. Third Shift: 10:00 pm - 7:00 am IST
