About the Role: 

The BAS System Owner provides operationaland maintenance supportfor Building Automation Systems platforms supporting facility infrastructure across the enterprise.

This role ensures BAS platformsremainsecure, reliable, and optimized while enabling standardized automation architectures across engineering projects and facility operations. The position supports system administration, infrastructure maintenance, risk management, and system health monitoring to ensure stable and efficient BAS performance across the network.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Serve assystemowner for BAS platforms across the network and/or support site system owners.

• Ensure system reliability, security, and operational performance.

• Develop and drive adoption of standardautomation architecture to reduce engineering rework and improve maintainabilityand drive establishment and adherence to standards.

• Manage user access governance and system configuration.

• Overseequarterlyserver patching, infrastructure updates, and system maintenance activities.

• Managesystem accessandprocesses for BAS platforms.

• Conduct system health reviews andoverseerisk assessments.

• Develop andmaintaindisaster recovery plans andlead table-top exercises.

• Provideonline remote support including investigating and problem-solving issues related to authentication, networks, and permissions.

• Own deviation managementand resolution activitieswhereapplicable.

• Leadintegrationassessmentsof third-party systems such asLighting orShadeControl.

• Leadasset management integration including Maximo-related processes.

• Leadthe development ofSOPs and systemdocumentation.

• Analyzesystem data and performance toidentifyand driveoptimization opportunities across BAS environments.

• Provides overall leadership of BAS system design delivery in partnership with the BAS Capital Lead

• Own standard BAS / QBAS URS & C&Q Templates for DT, ICO, ACO, SAT

Basic Qualifications&Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’sdegree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent).

• 12–17 years of work experience in Building Automation System Engineering and Management

• Experience in the global pharmaceutical industrypreferred.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Experience supporting Building Automation Systems. Experience in Siemens and Schneider Electric BAS systems.

• Strongexpertisein databases, networks, operating systems, and infrastructure supporting BAS systems.

• Experience troubleshooting BAS automation systems and facility utility systems.

• Knowledge of automation communication protocols, such as BACnet and Modbus.

• Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making capability.

• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives for system performance and reliability.

• Strong collaboration and influencing skills across engineering and operations teams

• Experience supporting cybersecurity patching, access governance, and disaster recovery planning.

• Familiarity with asset management systemsincludingMaximo.

• Experience working across regions and time zones with cultural awareness and adaptability.
