About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the Strategic Resource Planning Associate Director role to join our team in Amgen India (AIN). This role will be a critical leadership position within OSBR’s India organization and will be accountable for leading the AIN OSBR delivery organization supporting business cases, network capacity analysis, scenario modeling, executive-ready communication, and project delivery.

This individual will manage a team of 8 to 10 Managers and Associate Managers, forming the AIN OSBR delivery team responsible for business case support, capacity analysis, scenario modeling, project management, analytics, and executive-ready communication.

The Associate Director will partner closely with the global OSBR team to manage the full AIN OSBR workload, prioritize current and upcoming demand, allocate work across the team members, and ensure the AIN team has the capacity, capabilities, and context required to deliver high-quality work on time.

This role is accountable for ensuring the AIN OSBR delivery model functions as intended: enabling the global OSBR team to remain focused on client management, strategy, stakeholder engagement, and senior leadership advisory work while AIN reliably delivers high-quality analytics, business case support, project execution, and executive-ready materials.

The Associate Director will ensure that OSBR’s India team operates as a reliable, scalable, and high-performing extension of the global team. The individual will guide the team through ambiguity, resolve hurdles during India working hours, escalate issues in a timely manner, and raise risks or concerns that could impact delivery, business continuity, or stakeholder confidence.

The role requires strong people leadership, project and portfolio management discipline, analytical judgment, business acumen, and the ability to understand OSBR’s business, Amgen’s manufacturing network, and commercialization processes. The Associate Director will be expected to develop a deep understanding of Amgen Operations and provide leadership to ensure the team can support business cases, capacity analysis, and strategic decision-making with quality and consistency.

Because this role works closely with Amgen’s California headquarters, the Associate Director is expected to maintain flexible working hours that provide meaningful overlap with the California-based team, typically from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop Managers and the broader AIN OSBR delivery team responsible for business case support, capacity analysis, scenario modeling, project management, analytics, and executive-ready communication.
  • With an experience of 16-20 years, partner with the global OSBR team to manage the full AIN OSBR workload, prioritize current and upcoming demand, allocate work across the Managers, and ensure resources are aligned to business priorities.
  • Establish and maintain governance routines for the India team, including workload reviews, portfolio status tracking, risk and issue management, escalation routines, quality reviews, performance metrics, and business continuity processes.
  • Ensure OSBR business cases, network capacity analyses, scenario modeling, and related deliverables across the AIN portfolio are delivered on time, within scope, and with the quality required to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of OSBR’s business, operating model, governance, decision-making processes, manufacturing network, commercialization process, and the role of analytics in shaping Amgen Operations strategy.
  • Guide the Managers and the broader team through ambiguous business questions by clarifying problem statements, aligning assumptions, identifying required inputs, pressure-testing analyses, and defining decision-relevant outputs.
  • Own business continuity escalation to the global OSBR team by proactively raising delivery constraints, resourcing gaps, analytical quality concerns, stakeholder alignment issues, and priority conflicts.
  • Establish quality standards, review routines, and escalation mechanisms to ensure consistency, reliability, and decision relevance of AIN OSBR deliverables across teams.
  • Build team capability in OSBR business context, manufacturing network understanding, commercialization processes, capacity analysis, Smart Capacity outputs, project management, executive communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in team ways of working, including standard templates, delivery processes, knowledge management, onboarding materials, quality checks, analytical documentation, communication standards, and governance routines.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and high performance across the OSBR India team.
