    About the Role

    As an Associate, Data Management within Amgen’s Marketing Data Hub (MDH), you will be part of a global team that enables data-driven decision-making for Amgen’s Commercial organization. You will support the execution of data management activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help maintain the data platforms that power insights into prescriber and patient engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Support Data-Enabling Features within Product Teams

    • Assist in the execution and deployment of data-related features within Commercial Data Platform Product teams in alignment with Amgen’s governance and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by supporting requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and data validation
    • Work with marketing and commercial datasets (e.g., marketing campaign data, HCP/Patient activity, IQVIA data, CRM systems) under guidance from senior team members
    • Help maintain data pipelines, perform data quality checks, and support anomaly identification and resolution
    • Collaborate with Technology teams to troubleshoot data issues and document findings for knowledge sharing
    • Contribute to connected data products that enable marketing and analytics teams to derive meaningful insights

    2. Support Operational and Transition Activities

    • Assist in operational data management tasks related to the insourcing of work at the Amgen India Innovation Center.
    • Help maintain documentation, trackers, and repositories to ensure smooth handovers and ongoing operational efficiency
    • Support the setup and execution of standard processes to maintain data consistency and traceability

    3. Collaborate Across Teams

    • Work closely with global team members, including peers in the US, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assigned tasks
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams within the Data Management and Technology organization to support ongoing projects
    • Contribute to team meetings, process discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives

    Basic Qualifications

    • Any degree and 2–5 years of relevant data management in pharma industry
    • Foundational understanding of data processes and data life cycle
    • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong written and spoken English

    Functional Skills

    Must-Have

    • Exposure to pharma or commercial datasets, such as marketing, HCP/Patient activity, or CRM data
    • Basic understanding of data management concepts (data quality, governance, metadata, lineage)
    • Working knowledge of data analysis or scripting tools such as SQL, Python, or R
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Databricks) or a strong willingness to learn
    • Ability to follow structured processes and maintain documentation accurately
    • Eagerness to learn about end-to-end commercial data flows and modern data management practices

    Good-to-Have

    • Experience working with analytics, marketing, or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Datorama)
    • Awareness of compliance, data privacy, and governance principles
    • Exposure to Agile or Product Team environments

    • Willingness to learn and take initiative under guidance
    • Effective communication and teamwork in cross-functional, global settings
