ThePrincipal Engineer, Asset Management,is responsible forexecution of asset lifecycle management standards, processes, and practices across Engineering and Facilities. This role ensures assets are managed in a compliant, reliable, and cost-effective manner throughout their lifecycle.
Reporting to the Director, Engineering Systems, Technology & Reporting, this rolesupportsglobalasset and equipmentmanagement,globalperformance andreliability,andassociatedequipmentstrategy.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ownsexecution of asset lifecycle management practices from design through retirement.
Ensuresoptimalmaintenance strategiesin accordance withpreventive, predictive, or proactivestrategies.
Monitorsasset and equipment performance as well as networkindicators (e.g.GMP non-conformance or safety event)to ensure performance criteria are met.
Leadsorparticipatesin root cause analysis effortsand manages applicable corrective and preventive actions.
Definesand appliesasset management standards, criticality models, and best practices.
Owns applicabledocumentation (Standard Operating Procedures, Engineering Standards, Guidancedocuments, etc.).
Ensureschanges to asset management remain aligned withequipment-specificGMP validatedfoundation as well asdesign safety controls.
Plans end-of-life asset strategy to ensureminimal unfavorable impact toclients.
Ensuresasset data supports inspections, audits, and regulatory requirements.
PartnerswithCMMSowner,global system owners, anddata teams to enable lifecycle insightsandperformance optimization.
Enablesasset reliability, maintenance optimization, and lifecycle cost analysis.
Drivesconsistency and standardization of asset management practices across sites.
Solicits network best practicesas well as internal and external benchmarking to ensureassets areoptimallymaintainedandperformaccording touser requirements.
Strategically deploys Artificial Intelligence to improvecompliant equipment performance as well as improve network-wide understanding of equipment-relateddesign, build,operate, and retire information.

Experience supportingassets andequipment within a highly regulated environment whereappropriatemaintenanceand change control arecritical.
Experiencemanagingfacility and manufacturingassetand asset maintenanceprograms.
Demonstrated experience improvingasset performance, reliability, and value using data andcollaborating withequipment engineering subject matter experts.
Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to business processes, problems, and decisions.
Proven experience managing multiple priorities, interdependencies, and competing demands whilemaintainingstrong execution discipline.
Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics, analytics, or insights to guide decisions and continuous improvement.
Strong collaboration and influencing skills, including the ability to lead outcomes without direct authority.
Experience partnering with Technology, Operations(e.g.Manufacturingand Engineering), Quality, Compliance, and Business stakeholders in regulated environments.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical, system, or data-driven topics to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated capability to support change management, user adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strongexpertisein data governance, analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI), and collaboration tools (e.g.,Teams,SharePoint).
Demonstrated experience translating client needs into program-controlled business processes.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional, and fast-paced global environment.
Demonstrated experience leading global teams and partnering with enterprise Technology organizations.
Experience working across regions and time zones with cultural awareness and adaptability.
