Senior Associate Systems Administrator
What you will do

In this vital role you will work within Operations Digital Technology and Innovation (Ops DTI) team will support commercial manufacturing at Amgen North Carolina with a focus on Laboratory, Benchtop, and manufacturing capabilities. The main responsibility of the role to support applications, design and solution deployment working with partners in Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering, and the broader Digital Technology and Innovation teams while adhering to Amgen standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Leverage systems knowledge to design solutions and act as the technology System Owner for these solutions.
Experience with Platforms not limited to LIMS, CDS Empower, LMES, Maximo, Service Now, etc.
Experience with analytical instruments, configuration, system management and integration with Laboratory Platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Administration, such as configuring system settings, managing user accounts, ensuring system security, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Quality Records experience, Data Integrity and GMP environments experience.
Work with Operations teams and Commissioning and Validation teams to develop strategy, plan, and execute for site readiness and GMP release.
Perform assignments that have clear and specific objectives and require investigation of limited number of variables.
Initiate and complete routine technical tasks.
Actively engage with business users to analyze business needs, capture, and detail business and solution requirements guided by standard methodologies in core application platforms.
Actively participate workshops and proof-of-concepts to illustrate business capabilities and facilitate adoption by business.
Ensure that systems are implemented and maintained in compliance with Regulatory Environments.
Coordination of business process and system issues across multiple departments, functions, and other Amgen manufacturing sites.
Participate in technical root cause analysis, incident investigations, business case development and troubleshooting on computerized systems.
Analyze problems, develop, and propose technical solutions in a scientific manner using data-driven techniques and analyses.
Support non-standard shift organization and extended hours, as per business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems, Engineering and/or Information technology experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems, Engineering and/or Information technology experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems, Engineering and/or Information technology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
The system administrator should have experience of working with computer systems from inception to deployment to maintenance. A general to good understanding of Quality processes, Laboratory, benchtop, and manufacturing systems.
Ability to analyze problems, process complex data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
General IT architecture and hardware knowledge.
General understanding of project management, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
Hands-on experience with computerized systems including troubleshooting, reliability, and performance improvements.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
Strong computer skills and possess the ability to apply science-based thinking to practical applications.
Energetic and technically minded individual.
Proven excellence in verbal and written communication at all interpersonal levels.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
