SR. ASSOCIATE SCHEDULER I
What you will do

In this vital role you will As a Digital Specialist in Manufacturing Support, you will join a forward-thinking team driving the adoption of smart manufacturing technologies and digital transformation initiatives within the plant. In this role, you will enhance floor operations and empower business leadership through advanced data analytics and automation. You will take ownership of critical processes, provide technical and strategic leadership, and design innovative digital solutions that improve operational performance. This position plays a pivotal role in advancing Amgen North Carolina’s digital maturity and enabling a smarter, more connected, and data-driven manufacturing future.
- Develop and Maintain Finite Schedules: Create and manage detailed finite schedules for downstream manufacturing operations, considering equipment constraints, labor availability, campaign sequencing, product priorities, and inventory requirements.
- Monitor Schedule Execution: Track schedule adherence, identify risks to production commitments, and proactively drive mitigation plans to minimize delays and product impact.
- Scenario Modeling: Perform capacity analyses and evaluate alternative scheduling scenarios to support business decisions, demand changes, shutdowns, and new product introductions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve conflicts and ensure execution readiness.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, cycle times, equipment utilization, and planning accuracy through data-driven analysis.
- Risk Management: Evaluate operational constraints such as equipment downtime, raw material availability, staffing limitations, and quality events to proactively adjust schedules.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop and communicate KPIs related to schedule adherence, manufacturing throughput, asset utilization, campaign performance, and planning accuracy.

Basic Qualifications:
- High school/GED + 4 years of Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Analysis or Computer Science work experience OR
- Associate’s + 2 years of Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Analysis or Computer Science work experience OR
- Bachelor’s + 6 months or Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Analysis or Computer Science work experience OR
- Master's
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and visualize production models.
- Experience with finite scheduling, production planning, or supply chain scheduling
- Ability to balance competing priorities and optimize schedules across manufacturing assets under different constraints
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across operations, supply chain, and leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on cycle time reduction, throughput improvement, and asset utilization.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
