Let'sdo this.Let'schange the world. As a Senior Manager of Manufacturing – Material Handling, you will provide leadership and guidance to the team responsible for 24/7 GMP material handling operations supporting manufacturing across the facility.
In this vital role as a member of the Manufacturing leadership team, the Senior Manager, Manufacturing – Material Handling, will collaborate cross-functionally to enable the manufacture of drugsubstancein a newstate-of-the-artmanufacturing facility. This roleis responsible forleading and developing Material Handling Front-Line Managers who oversee teams supporting the receipt, staging, movement, storage, inventory control, and delivery of GMP materials between the warehouse and manufacturing operations. Additionally, you will be accountable for organizational design, hiring, development, and training complianceofthe Material Handling organization to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The position will also provide leadership and oversight for operational readiness activities to ensure successful facility start-up and sustained commercial manufacturing performance.
Responsibilities:
Develop andretaina diverse, high-performing Material Handling organization in alignment with operational readiness schedules to support successful facility startup and commercial GMP operations.
Foster a strong safety, quality, and compliance culture while championing continuous improvement across all Material Handling activities.
Collaborate as one team with Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Process Development, Automation, and network partners to ensure reliable execution of manufacturing operations.
Lead the execution and continuous improvement of end-to-end material flow processes, ensuring the right materials are available at the right location and time to support uninterrupted manufacturing.
Oversee inventory accuracy, material reconciliation, cycle counting, and GMP inventory control processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal quality requirements.
Own the Manufacturing Material Transfer Equipment program, ensuring equipment lifecycle management, availability, qualification, maintenance coordination, and operational readiness.
Partner with Supply Chain and Warehouse Operations tooptimizematerial staging, replenishment strategies, and production scheduling while minimizing operational risk.
Provide leadership in troubleshooting operational issues affecting material availability andestablishrobust escalation and 24/7 support processes.
Lead investigations related to material handling deviations, inventory discrepancies, and material management events while driving effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with organizationalobjectiveswhile driving Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead and support internal and regulatory inspections for areas of responsibility, includinginspectionreadiness, response development, and sustainable compliance strategies.
Deliver against organizational financial commitments whileoptimizinglabor, inventoryutilization, and operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience Or
Master’s degree and 6 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience Or
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience Or
Associate's degree and 10 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience Or
High School diploma/GED and 12 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience
AND2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated managerial experience supporting GMP manufacturing operations in abiologicsor pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Experience leading GMP material handling, manufacturinglogistics, inventory management, or warehouse operations supporting manufacturing.
Demonstrated experience implementing Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with electronic inventory management systems (SAP, MES, electronic batch records, barcode/RFID technologies, or equivalent).
Working knowledge of GMP material management, inventory control, material traceability, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Cross-functional experience partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Process Development organizations.
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence across multiple organizations.
Demonstrated ability to develop high-performing teams and foster an inclusive, accountable, and collaborative culture.
