Information Systems Senior Manager

What you will do

In this vital role you will lead the delivery of high-quality, robust, and reliable digital technologies and services within the Technology Organization, ensuring seamless support for business, project and daily operations. You’ll partner closely with key stakeholders to take full ownership of technology services, driving both project execution and day-to-day operational excellence. Your focus will be on aligning technology solutions with business needs, continuously seeking optimized approaches to enhance efficiency, and ensuring reliability and service quality for our partners.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of digital platform implementations, ensuring strategic portfolio planning, optimal resource allocation, proactive risk mitigation, and sound financial governance.

  • Oversee and maintain digital technology services—including automation, business and laboratory platforms, benchtop systems, and infrastructure—ensuring reliability, systems compliance and performance (i.e., Emerson Delta V, Rockwell, Siemens, MES Korber PAS|X, OSISoft PI, Autodesk BIM 360, ERP-SAP, LIMS, LMES) preferably biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related industries.

  • Act as the primary liaison for site-level services and projects, global initiatives, and system upgrades.

  • Design and implement robust support models tailored to site operational needs, including vendor and third-party contract management with clearly defined responsibilities.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, statements of work, resource needs, timelines, and performance tracking.

  • Lead cross-functional project teams, facilitate key meetings, and deliver presentations to senior leadership.

  • Define and implement technology solutions that drive efficiency, quality, and alignment with client objectives.

  • Anticipate and resolve complex, concurrent project challenges using deep project management and business acumen.

  • Establish performance metrics to continuously improve team output and system effectiveness.

  • Oversee project delivery and embed operational excellence strategies across the organization.

  • Mentor team members and champion best practice as a subject matter expert.

  • Stay current with industry and technology trends, cultivating external networks to gather insights and benchmark innovations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience OR

  • Master’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience OR

  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems/Technology and/or Engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience Preferred: Prior experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related regulated industries is strongly preferred.

  • Bridge Vision and Execution: Translate operational goals into actionable strategies across manufacturing, laboratory, supply chain, quality, engineering, and technology functions using digital technologies, data, advanced analytics.

  • Lead Through Influence and Collaboration: Foster strong cross-functional partnerships to build support for initiatives, energize teams, ensure sustained alignment and focus on business priorities and goals.

  • Think Strategically: Anticipate impacts, adapt to change, and make well-reasoned decisions that drive continuous improvement and support business needs.

  • Champion Continuous Learning: Stay current with emerging tools and technologies, actively contribute to professional communities, and foster a culture of innovation.

  • Drive Problem Solving and Innovation: Apply critical thinking and best practices to proactively resolve complex issues and design effective, scalable solutions.

  • Communicate with Clarity: Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders, senior management and lead teams effectively.

  • Decision-Making: Clearly articulates the rationale behind decisions and their potential implications, continuously reflecting on successes and failures to enhance performance and decision-making.

  • Adaptive Leadership: Recognizes the need for change and actively participates in technical strategy planning.

  • Balance Priorities: Manage multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills, ensuring alignment with team goals and measurable performance outcomes.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
