Pricing & Distribution Senior Associate

Purpose of the Role

Provide support and guidance to the business on pricing priorities, maximize the value of innovation, and manage pricing-related tasks for ELI Countries.

Main Accountabilities:

• Strategic Pricing & Contracting
  • Proactively engage with business partners and the pricing team to support strategic pricing priorities.
  • Support and implement innovative pricing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal value & long-term profitability of Amgen brands.
  • Lead multi-factor pricing analysis to identify trends, profitability leaks, and price erosion.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Support senior management in developing governance frameworks and discount matrix models.
• Tender Management and Distribution
  • Lead indirect tender submissions and support direct tender submissions.
  • Regularly review and optimize the contract and tender process in line with the organization and industry changes to ensure Amgen adopts the best practices.
  • Support Amgen's distribution strategy and manage performance and reconciliation to ensure Amgen product delivery is maintained to the highest standards.
• Reporting & Digital Tools
  • Ensure accuracy and timelines of monthly Price Performance Reports and Business Reviews.
  • Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards to improve visibility on business performance.
  • Regularly maintain and enhance the Price and Profitability Tool to support decision-making.
  • Provide price change simulations during P&L update processes.
• Compliance
  • Ensure Pricing SOPs are updated and adhered to.
  • Ensure compliant pricing processes and SOX controls are in place.
  • Align product database and price lists with regulatory inputs.
  • Minimize risk for Amgen brands by ensuring compliance with local legislation and industry code of practice.
  • Collaborate with the Finance/Legal departments to ensure compliance in matters related to distribution and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with local and regional pricing guidelines.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or any other related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in pricing, tenders, or finance within the healthcare industry.
• Current or previous experience within Multinational corporate.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conceptualize and frame issues with fact-based solutions.
• Strong business acumen and commercial/pricing strategy understanding.
• Strong relationship-building with business partnering mindset.
• Team player with flexibility to adapt to business needs and work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• High sense of urgency, with self-driven mindset.
• Advanced MS Excel and Power BI proficiency.
• Fluent in English & Arabic.
