Are you an experienced Corporate Affairs professional who can connect business priorities with the policy, stakeholder and communications landscape? In this role, you will shape and deliver Corporate Affairs strategy for Amgen’s commercial affiliates in Denmark and Norway, helping advance our mission to serve patients.


You will work closely with affiliate leaders and colleagues across the Nordics, the ELMAC Corporate Affairs Strategic Hub and regional and global functions. This is an opportunity to contribute across two markets, provide trusted counsel to senior leaders and help Amgen respond effectively to a complex and changing external environment.


What you will do

  • Partner with the Denmark and Norway affiliate leadership team to develop Corporate Affairs strategies and plans that support business priorities and deliver measurable impact.
  • Provide proactive strategic counsel to affiliate leaders on reputational, stakeholder, policy and communications considerations, including communications support related to the General Manager’s role as President of the Board for Amgen’s legal entities in Denmark.
  • Lead Corporate Affairs planning and execution across both markets, aligning local priorities with regional and enterprise initiatives and making effective use of shared capabilities.
  • Work with Government Affairs, Value & Access, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Human Resources, R&D, Operations and other partners to identify risks, opportunities and policy developments, and recommend communications and stakeholder engagement approaches.
  • Advise on policy communications and stakeholder engagement in areas including healthcare policy, access and pricing, sustainability requirements, geopolitical developments and reputational issues.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with journalists and patient organizations.
  • Lead local issues and crisis management, working with regional and global colleagues to monitor, assess, escalate and respond to reputational risks.
  • Develop and steward local messaging and digital and social content in line with Amgen’s brand, policy and compliance expectations, using insights and data to inform materials.
  • Use digital tools, analytics, AI and emerging technologies to modernize ways of working, improve measurement and increase the effectiveness and impact of Corporate Affairs.
  • Provide communications, stakeholder engagement and issues management counsel related to the General Manager’s responsibilities as legal representative for Amgen’s entities in Denmark and Norway, including relevant matters concerning Operations and R&D sites.
  • Ensure activities comply with local laws, regulations, industry codes and Amgen policies and requirements.

What you bring

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Political Science, Healthcare Policy, Business or a related field.
  • At least eight years of experience in Corporate Affairs, communications, public affairs, policy communications, stakeholder engagement or a related field, ideally in healthcare, life sciences or another highly regulated sector.
  • Strong experience in strategic communications, media relations, policy communications, issues management, executive communications, digital and social channels, and internal communications.
  • Ability to advise senior leaders, manage sensitive reputational issues and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience managing, coaching or providing oversight to colleagues, agency partners or cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of Denmark’s healthcare, pharmaceutical, policy, media and stakeholder environments.
  • Native proficiency in Danish and professional fluency in English.
  • Strong cultural understanding and sensitivity, with the ability to work effectively across multiple markets and languages.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment and strategic planning skills, including the ability to solve problems creatively and compliantly in changing environments.
  • Experience working successfully in a complex, matrixed global organization and aligning local priorities with regional and enterprise objectives.

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong healthcare policy communications experience, including the ability to translate local policy developments and enterprise policy priorities into clear communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Experience supporting senior country leadership, board-related responsibilities or cross-entity reputation and stakeholder matters.
  • Strong analytical capability, including measurement, reporting, generating insights and using data to inform decisions.
  • Curiosity about digital tools, AI and emerging technologies, and an interest in learning how to use them in day-to-day work to improve the quality and efficiency of communications. Previous experience is welcome, but you do not need to be an AI or technology expert.
