Medical Manager| Oncology {Egypt, LEVANT, Iran & South Africa}
Responsibilities:
- Leading and developing the Local Medical strategy and Medical activities for Amgen products in accordance to internal and external regulations.
- Act as an advisor and give guidance on the development and execution of Medical strategy and Medical activities for distributors in Levant, Iran and South Africa.
- Therapy area and/or product specific Medical training
- Ensuring consistency of Medical content and scientific messages across various tools and materials
- Visits selected KOL’s and study groups for strategic discussions and protocol development
- Partners with the BU Manager in the development and execution of the Local product(s) lifecycle management plan
- Oversees in-sourced/outsourced Medical programs and logistics
- Supports Local regulatory and ethics approvals for development protocols
- Provides Medical expertise for pipeline products
- Provides Medical expertise for Health Economy and reimbursement requests
- Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research
- Advance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, achieve results, and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen values and leadership attributes.
- Lead and support congress activities as aligned with strategy
- Compliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
- Provide Medical support “Medical trainings, guidelines and product scientific data updates..etc.” for distributors in Levant, Iran and South Africa.
- Approve of promotional and Non-Promotional Material.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or any other relevant field.
- 6 to 8 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in one of the MNCs.
- Knowledge of commercialization and business practices
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, product lifecycle and commercialization process with advanced understanding of other functions; including, but not limited to, Clinical Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs
- Oncology Therapeutic area knowledge
- Finance and budgeting acumen
- Strong communication skills & customer orientation
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team
