WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of the mechanical utility systems that support our manufacturing, warehousing, and office facilities.
The System Owner is the accountable individual for the optimal performance, compliance, and continuity of a designated utility system or asset at the ABR site.
The System Owner serves as the single point of contact for the system across its full life cycle. From design through retirement and interface with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Working closely with Maintenance, Operations, Capital Projects, and external partners, you'll provide technical leadership for mechanical systems throughout their lifecycle while supporting site expansion and continuous improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will:
Provide technical ownership and engineering expertise for mechanical utility systems and infrastructure.
Support mechanical design reviews, equipment selection, and engineering standards.
Lead troubleshooting activities for complex mechanical equipment and utility systems.
Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
Review technical documentation, maintenance strategies, and engineering change controls.
Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Reliability, and external engineering partners to improve system performance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, sustainability, energy efficiency, and operational excellence.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
Experience with mechanical utility systems such as HVAC, chilled water, boilers, compressed air, refrigeration, piping systems, pumps, and pressure equipment.
Experience in mechanical engineering, facilities engineering, or utilities engineering within an industrial environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
Experience with CMMS platforms and engineering documentation, preferably in a highly regulated industry.
Experience in a GMP-regulated environment is considered an advantage.
