Internship – Transform the Future of Manufacturing Processes!
Netherlands - Breda Apply NowHelp us reimagine how we work – and gain the skills to redefine your future.
At Amgen, our mission is simple and powerful: to serve patients. Every improvement we make in our processes helps us deliver medicines more efficiently, safely, and sustainably across the globe. As one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies, reaching over 10 million patients worldwide, we believe students bring fresh perspectives, curiosity, and bold ideas. And we want yours.
At Amgen Breda (ABR), more than 1,000 colleagues from 38 nationalities work every day to assemble, label, store, and distribute medicines that reach patients around the world. Now, you can be part of this purpose-driven environment.
LIVE
This could be your everyday
Join our Operations / M&E (Maintenance & Engineering) team and dive into a hands-on, high‑impact assignment that directly shapes how our packaging lines run. Today, our operators rely on paper-based tooling change / changeover instruction lists to guide equipment part exchanges between batches. These lists are essential, but the current process is:
- Paper-heavy
- Slow to update
- Administratively intensive
- Not digitally integrated
And that’s where you come in.
Your mission
Analyze the current process, uncover inefficiencies, and design a smarter, faster, more digital future. You’ll collaborate with M&E, operators, Quality, and other stakeholders to imagine and propose a better way of working — ideally one that reduces paper use, accelerates updates, improves data handling, and enhances operational control.
This is your opportunity to bring creativity, critical thinking, and digital-first ideas to life in a real manufacturing environment.
Deliverables:
During your internship, you will:
- Map the current-state process for tooling changeovers
- Identify key pain points, risks, and inefficiencies
- Gather and translate user and stakeholder requirements
- Explore improvement and digitization opportunities
- Recommend a future-state process, ideally digital and streamlined
- Create an implementation roadmap that moves ABR toward this future
- Present your findings and recommendations in a final report & presentation
This assignment is perfect for students excited about process improvement, digitization, operational excellence, and innovation in a real manufacturing setting.
