Our Supply Planning team plays a key role in fulfilling Amgen’s mission. We coordinate and plan the operational activities for Amgen’s site in Breda. We ensure supply to patients in more than 75 markets in Europe, Turkey, Middle East and Africa Regions.

The Supply Planning team is part of the Amgen Breda Supply Chain. We are responsible for managing the short, medium and long-term plans for incoming supplies, production, warehouse and QA activities.

We are looking for a Senior Associate Supply Chain – Detailed Scheduler to join our team. This is a career opportunity for a young potential with the ambition to develop and grow. Your role and responsibilities

The Senior Associate Supply Chain – Detailed Scheduler is responsible for the short-term (0-3 months horizon) detailed production scheduling process and capacity planning. You ensure that we daily can produce the right volume and supply patients in more than 75 markets.

You work closely with various stakeholders and departments such as Manufacturing, Warehouse, Demand Planning and QA. This to meet inventory and supply targets for components and products.

You are the representative of the Site Planning department in weekly planning and product meetings as well as improvement initiatives. You will contribute to improvement initiatives and optimize our Supply Chain in terms of responsiveness, reliability and stability.

Amgen’s number of products, volumes and complexity are increasing significantly over time. This is a great opportunity and challenge to be managed by the Supply Planning team. We, therefore, have a Lean transformation program in place to ensure a more responsive and agile Supply Chain.

All this you will do within a regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment and according to Class A and World Class Manufacturing principles.

Your qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience with end-to-end supply chain gained in a regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment such as pharmaceuticals, MedTech, food/beverages, ingredients. You are familiar with working with high compliance and quality standards.
  • Interest in, some experience with and willingness to work with continuous improvements in a production environment.
  • Experience with a data driven way of working (e.g. Root Course Analysis) and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Bachelor/Master/HBO degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business Administration
  • Experience with ERP or SAP (Plan-to-Stock, inventory management, capacity planning), Lean / JIT / 6 Sigma / FMEA / RCA is preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both good oral and written communication skills
  • You have good analytical and problem-solving skills. You take initiative and ownership. Due to your data driven and analytical mindset you translate insights from data into conclusions, improvements and actions to be taken – and you drive these actions forward.
