Undergrad Intern - Automation (Global Regulatory Affairs)

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. During this program, you will interact broadly across the functions/sub-functions within the Global Regulatory Affairs Execution Team (GRAET) to support implementation of key business deliverables, quality initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

GRAET drives execution of Global Regulatory Affairs and Strategy (GRAAS)’s core business execution and compliance functions, including Global Regulatory Writing, Clinical Transparency & Disclosure, Global Labeling Strategy & Compliance, Global Regulatory Submission Management and Global Regulatory Information Management.

The team is focused on innovative business approaches and using pioneering data and information management tools to drive efficiency in our processes. The team uses its diverse skills to identify challenges across GRAAS and collaborates with the various functions to drive resolution. We need a high potential performer to:

  • Collaborate with functional subject matter experts to accurately detail current processes in a step-by-step manner to document business requirements for automation
  • Document, leveraging step-by-step process flows, repetitive/manual operations processes to produce process design documentation that could be good candidates for automation.
  • Develop, test and implement new automation tools by teaching software bots’ the identified manual tasks.
  • Collaborate with Process & Training team to prepare and roll-out automations to functional areas.
  • Measure and illustrate the impact and performance of automated processes.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship OR co-op

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree concentrations in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field.
  • Flexible field of study with demonstrated academic excellence and proven experience and interest in Automation/RPA/AI
  • Takes initiative to complete tasks with quality mentality
  • Service and outcomes-minded
  • Analytical, detail oriented and highly organized
  • Strong communications/presentation skills
  • Identifies issues and seeks solutions
  • Works independently and collaboratively
  • Strong commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 - $28.30 per hour.
