Sr Mgr Information Systems - Salesforce Applications
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will set strategy, drive implementation and provide leadership for the Gross-to-Net Contracts Management Product teams. You will be accountable for the Salesforce and Conga technology capabilities that enables the US Contracts Development Product to manage the lifecycle of all sell-side contracts with US Wholesalers, Payers and Providers, Trade, and Government agencies. This role will lead multiple technology product teams that develop software applications primarily on the Salesforce platform implementing Conga CPQ, Conga CLM, Salesforce Service Cloud, and Salesforce Portal capabilities that enable engagement and self-service capabilities for market access and contracting business organizations.
Responsibilities
- Product Management for multiple Product Teams (2 to 3) of 5-11 members each Customer-facing to Executive Directors in the US Contracts Development function and their respective leadership teams
- Serve as the technology strategy lead for the software ecosystem that enables delivery of Amgen’s market access and contracting strategies via Conga CPQ and Conga CLM platforms, and integrations with Model N Revenue Management, AWS Cloud, and Contracting Intelligence Anaplan platforms
- Partner with functional leaders in the Market Access and Contracting function to identify strategic opportunities to pilot, implement and scale technology solutions for increased engagement with key customer accounts to drive better market access and coverage
- Operate high reliability & availability technology platforms to meet/exceed value-delivery objectives and key results and key performance indicators targets, with particular attention to technology goals and objectives
- Create and manage the product roadmaps and cases to secure investments to grow and innovate ahead of anticipated business need
- Own financial responsibility to forecast, secure and manage operating budgets covering Product TCO
- Drive a mentality of excellence in running robust, reliable, and secure software products following Amgen’s Agile software development principles, DevOps, and ITIL change management requirements
- Provide technology leadership to drive Agile, DevOps, and TeamOps standard methodologies within the GCO & CF Technology organization
- Develop and mentor teams for higher performance and individual career growth. Act as a role model demonstrating leadership behaviors
- Position is based in Thousand Oaks, CA to join the Global Commercial Operations & Corporate Functions Technology (GCO & CF Technology) group and innovate and grow our Salesforce applications focused on commercial sell side contracting.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems or Technology experience
Or
Master’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems or Technology experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Information Systems or Technology experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems or Technology experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems or Technology experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of working in software product management/development in a technical Product Manager capacity with experience in working with SAFe Agile Product and Platform teams
- Prior experience in leading technical teams and building products/applications DevOps teams in enterprise-class environments (Salesforce Service Cloud, Conga CPQ, Conga CLM, MuleSoft, Databricks, and AWS Cloud platforms) using modern development and testing tools and frameworks
- Ability to strategically negotiate and solve for business goals with technology solutions aligned to corporate City Plan technology and architecture standards, and negotiate investments and prioritization to deliver iteratively
- Track record of technology service delivery with bias towards solutioning and value-delivery to manage service level expectations with minimal need for supervision
- Demonstrated high learning agility with a solid sense of ownership, urgency and drive
- SAFe Certification(s) and Lean-Agile Leadership experience
- Test automation and DevOps experience; exposure to complete product development lifecycle in Agile / Scrum and DevOps environments
- Superb communication skills to work across and up through the organization, including executive communication, escalation and mitigation of issues, risks, and business impacts, and presentation skills to adjust content and influence outcomes based on the audience
- Experience with using industry thought leadership, networks, and expertise to develop product technology roadmaps
- Experience leading a strong team of technologists and providing the necessary guidance and coaching to nurture and grow talent.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
