Grad Intern - Digital Medicine (Summer 2025)
What You Will Do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. As part of Digital Medicine Team, you will work closely with our partners to support various digital medicine and medical affairs capabilities and its business processes, systems and data & analytics related key initiatives, including but not limited to:
- Holistically review, develop, update various medical /safety / regulatory capabilities, its business processes and recommend efficiencies with an emphasis on continuous improvement activities
- Engage with medical /safety / regulatory experts and partners to gather insights for refining medical affairs practices
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to find opportunities for enhancing Amgen's medical presence
- Evaluate the usability and effectiveness of existing digital tools and platforms used by medical affairs
- Conduct user surveys and feedback analysis to identify areas of improvement
- Propose enhancements or recommend new tools for better engagement with healthcare providers
- Research and analyze digital strategies employed by competitors in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry
- Identify innovative practices and technologies worth considering
- Present findings and recommendations to the team
- Manage and monitor the medical's presence on various social media platforms
- Document the current processes and streamline the metrics collection process
- Develop guidelines for effectively using various social media platforms and integrating metrics into broader medical dashboards

Basic Qualifications:
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
- 18 years or older
- Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
- Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
- Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship or co-op
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree concentration(s) in Business Administration, Engineering, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Management & Information Systems, Data & Analytics & Information technologies
- Strong analytical skills to extract valuable insights from digital interactions and a keen eye for understanding complex data
- Ability to develop insightful dashboards for tracking digital engagement metrics, helping to make data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with various digital tools used in medical, with a passion for assessing their effectiveness and usability
- Skilled in conducting user surveys and feedback analysis to identify areas for improvement in digital tools and platforms
- Ability to propose enhancements and new tools for improved engagement with healthcare providers
- Capable of providing valuable recommendations for optimizing digital strategies based on data-driven insights
- Research skills to delve into competitors' digital strategies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry
- Capability to identify innovative practices and technologies that could benefit Amgen's digital approach
- Strong presentation and communication abilities to articulate findings and recommendations to the team
- Experience in managing and monitoring social media platforms and knowledge of online community engagement
- Skills to detail and streamline processes for metrics collection and monitoring
- Ability to develop effective strategies for using social media platforms and integrating metrics into medical dashboards

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $30 - $40 per hour.
