Consumer Senior Marketing Manager, Bone

What you will do

In this vital role as the Consumer Senior Marketing Manager you will play a substantial role in the growth trajectory of the Bone Health franchise, a priority Amgen business. The Consumer Senior Marketing Manager has deep digital understanding, using insights to develop and implement actionable strategic plans and detailed execution in support of the blockbuster brand, EVENITY. This position leads the strategic planning and deployment of the consumer digital strategy, tactics and media, working closely with internal GCC Media team and our external media agency and partners. This may include but is not limited to: translating brand strategy to digital initiatives, digital, social and SEM media lead, website development/updates, paid and organic search management, KPI planning, analytics reporting and ongoing improvements to digital initiatives. You will be joining a team that is very passionate and dedicated to improving patients’ lives.

  • Develop and implement DTC marketing initiatives, messages and materials to meet brand objectives, create differentiation for the brand, and stimulate appropriate consumer awareness, starts, and adherence
  • Be responsible for the ongoing development of consumer digital strategy and tactics for branded and DSE tactics by creating exceptional user experiences for the brand leading to the achievement of business goals and objectives.
  • Define, track, measure and report on all digital critical metrics using analytics to optimize and adjust programs as needed for key consumer promotional activities.
  • Lead branded and unbranded website properties
  • Update new content/tools, and search engine optimizations.
  • Ensure alignment on website strategy and optimization and that site designs leverage standard methodologies, brand guidelines and usability guidelines
  • Drive efficiencies through robust test/learn plans focused on insights pull-though to deliver on critical metric goals.
  • Provide strategic insight on testing and optimization plans based on performance and user feedback driving engagement of important metric goals.
  • Lead branded and unbranded organic and paid search streams.
  • Handle external and internal agencies to meet expected project objectives and hold them accountable to agreed upon budgets, timelines and standards.
  • Form and maintain strong partnerships with cross-functional business partners including Brand Communications, Advocacy, Patient Engagement and HCP Marketing.
  • Collaborate with Medical, Regulatory, and Legal reviewers across multiple materials to ensure tactics are aligned with Amgen’s standards.
  • This position will not be responsible for management of direct reports. However, it will require agency management, and cross-functional team leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of digital Marketing experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Master’s degree and 4 years of digital Marketing experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of digital Marketing experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associate’s Degree and 10 years of digital Marketing experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of digital Marketing experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior marketing and/or agency experience in healthcare.
  • Relevant work experience handling digital media channels.
  • Deep knowledge of data analysis and ability to use data to make recommendations and drive decisions.
  • Experience working with media agencies and channel partners to build and optimize effective media plans
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and the impact on consumer marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of medical/legal/regulatory submissions and review process.
  • Ability to successfully run multiple projects and resources concurrently on time and on budget.
  • Strong teammate, with the ability to work with a variety of personality types across a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with a desire to grow and expand marketing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires approximately 20% travel
  • Strong self-starter, problem-solver, ability to lead others to meet multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously in a cross-functional, team-based environment

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
