Senior Associate, Events and Experiences

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will play a critical support role in the planning and execution of Amgen’s corporate-level events. This role is responsible for managing event logistics, coordinating on-site support, and ensuring seamless execution of both virtual and in-person experiences. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Event Logistics and Operations

  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including scheduling, venue selection, travel arrangements, catering, and vendor management.
  • Manage event materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and setup.
  • Prepare and distribute event documentation, such as timelines, run-of-show scripts, and checklists.
  • Provide on-site support during events, managing logistics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations.

Project Management and Coordination

  • Assist the Director and other team members with project planning, tracking timelines, and ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Maintain detailed project plans and ensure all event-related tasks are completed on time.

Communication and Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including content, creative, and Technology team, to support event execution.
  • Communicate event details and updates to stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Collect and consolidate feedback from attendees and stakeholders post-event to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with senior executive administrators to calendar meetings, table reads, and rehearsals

Data and Reporting

  • Track budgets and expenses for events, ensuring adherence to allocated resources.
  • Assist in compiling metrics and reports on event performance and impact.
  • Maintain organized records of past events, including lessons learned and vendor information, to support future planning.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in event planning, project coordination, or a similar role

Or

Associate’s degree and 6 years of experience in event planning, project coordination, or a similar role

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of experience in event planning, project coordination, or a similar role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in event planning, project coordination, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with event management tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Experience in on-site event coordination, with a willingness to travel as needed.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
