Warehouse Business Process Specialist

What you will do

In this critical role, you’ll ensure seamless warehouse operations by leading and optimizing business process standardization across our warehouse network. As the Warehouse Business Process Specialist, you will:

  • Drive the design, mapping, and documentation of business process flows in collaboration with the Business Process Owner (BPO) and Business System Owner (BSO).
  • Develop, maintain, and own warehouse business process documentation in Amgen's Document Management System (DMS).
  • Lead cross-functional workshops to assess current processes and define future-state processes that support standardization and efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of new warehouse systems, managing tasks from planning and requirements gathering through deployment.
  • Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, GSC, DTI, and Quality to ensure best practices and operational excellence.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements that drive efficiency and optimize warehouse functions.

What we expect of you

Our ideal candidate brings strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to operational excellence. You should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehousing/distribution, ideally in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
  • Expertise in process mapping, visualization, and design, with strong skills in gathering, negotiating, and translating business requirements.
  • A proven ability to work independently under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and drive results.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in cross-functional and international environments.
  • Preferred: Experience in SAP and WMS (ideally SAP WM/EWM), knowledge of GMP/GDP, and project management skills.
