WHAT YOU WILL DO


Amgen is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Associate, Global Meetings Management (GMM) to play a strategic role in supporting and optimizing our Strategic Meeting Management program across Europe. This position will focus on developing, standardizing, and maintaining processes while ensuring compliance with country-specific regulations.



Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary GMM contact for assigned countries, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

  • Manage relationships with preferred agency suppliers in assigned countries, ensuring high performance through regular reviews (QBRS, KPI adherence) and quality service for all meetings.

  • Oversee the Meeting & Events Policy, strengthening stakeholder relationships and contributing to policy revisions and improvements.

  • Develop and update clear, engaging communications and materials for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with policy and process updates.

  • Drive adoption and utilization of Cvent, Amgen’s system of record for meetings, in alignment with the Global Meetings Policy.

  • Work closely with data analysts to enhance data-driven insights and reporting for key stakeholders.

  • Provide technical and non-technical consultative support for business functions regarding CVENT and meeting management processes.

  • Support the development, improvement, and automation of meeting management processes.

  • Maintain up-to-date Global Meetings Management resources and documentation.

  • Collaborate with Compliance and Audit teams to ensure all processes, trainings materials and solutions adhere to Amgen Compliance regulations.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in meetings and events management, ideally in a regional or global role.

  • Pharmaceutical industry experience in meetings management is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of meetings and congress operations and best practices, domestic and international.

  • Fluent in English (business proficiency required); additional European language skills are a plus.


Preferred Requirements

  • Understanding of compliance, legal, and regulatory guidelines for interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong skills in process mapping and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), CVENT, and experience with Workday and SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
  • Hardworking, results-oriented, and a team player with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor.
