CUSTOMER FINANCE MANAGER

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Accountabilities:

- Manage Customer Finance daily operational activities and monitor Accounts Receivables processes;

- Manage and monitor credit risk assessments;

- Provide analysis/reports.

Responsibilities:

Support Customer Finance Team by:

Knowledge sharing from operational business and system perspective;

Providing on the job training;

Monitoring progress and helping Team in goals achieving;

Developing and reviewing Customer Finance SOPs.

Oversee cash application process to ensure accurate output within schedule.

Work actively in the collection area by supporting the Team with providing and maintaining collection tool(s) allowing prioritization and sequence of tasks and activities

Manage credit risk:

Monitor customer’s financial performance;

Detect, control, and minimize the credit risks for Amgen in the Customer Finance area;

Seek for relevant market information and provide continuous feedback;

May need to perform all activities related to issuance and maintenance of L/C, Bank Guarantees, etc.

Monitoring and compliance:

Support SOX control process and compliance follow-up in line with Customer Finance Policy;

Ownership role in reporting process and ad hoc analysis/reports – provide recommendations and conclusions to Sr. Manager Customer Finance/Regional Customer Finance Leads;

Work actively on process and performance improvements;

Supervise external Customer Finance Team.

Support global Customer Finance activities: processes development for new entities and implementation in line with the global approach.

Represent Customer Finance within the organization and take leading role in cross functional projects.

Back-up functions to Sr. Manager Customer Finance/Regional Customer Finance Lead.

• May manage direct reports.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

- Typically 5+ years of related professional experience

OR

- Master’s degree or equivalent

- Typically 3+ years of related professional experience

OR

- PhD or equivalent

- Minimal related professional experience

- SAP/S4 knowledge

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience in OTC process;

- Experience in the area of securities (L/C, BG, Credit Insurance etc.);

- Fluency in multiple European languages;

- Experience in Shared Services organization;

- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry;

- Experience in leading a financial function in a matrix and international environment.
