WHAT YOU WILL DO


The role of Business Analyst - Commercial Data & Analytics acts as a thought partner for the commercial business community (sales and marketing). Role is responsible for understanding and capturing the business need and for translating it into a technical solution together with the development team. Using agile methodology, new functionalities and applications are designed and developed.

The Business Analyst will also lead minor to major system improvements, support analysis and validation of the solution as well as support steady-state operations within the application portfolio.

As a Business Analyst, you will be engaged in the stand-ups & regular sprint planning and execution to deliver features, improvement, data validation & data integration to benefit our business users and streamline our interfaces strategy. You will manage operational requests and assist in the escalated triage of support issues, working with diverse user groups. By assisting in gathering user requirements you contribute to continuously improve the data integration. With your technical skills you can create and maintain system interface diagrams, functional designs and technical specifications.

What skills do you need to be successful?

This position requires analytical skills and to o develop, maintain and operate new and existing services and develop ELMAC data lake and more concepts.

This individual must be able to synthesize and connect multiple sources of data at different grains to provide consumable technology solutions which include reports, dashboards, visualizations, etc.  Furthermore, this individual will partner with various commercial teams (such as Commercial Data & Analytics, Commercial Insights, Marketing, Data Science, Field Operations, etc.) to ensure that we enable innovative data & analytics technologies that accelerate timely insights and data-driven decision making.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Technical Skills:

  • ETL tools: Experience in ETL tools – preferably cloud-based like Informatica, Data bricks

  • Redshift or equivalent cloud-based dB

  • S3 or equivalent storage system

  • AWS (similar cloud-based platforms)

Required qualifications, skills & abilities:

  • Bachelor level education, Information Systems / Analytics, or related field

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a Business Analyst / Data Analyst role

  • Excellent communication skills (English)

  • Proven analytical, data-driven problem-solving skills

  • Proven excellence in interpersonal skills, multitasking, persuasion, negotiation of critical   issues, a strong attention to detail, and understanding of business complexity.

  • Affinity to work in a DevOps environment and Agile mind set

  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others

  • Ability to meet deadlines and schedules and be accountable

  • Mindset of end-to-end delivery and ownership

  • Willingness to learn new technologies
