In this vital role the Commercial Analytics & Insights Senior Manager develops and delivers business insights for the Neuroimmunology BU, will be responsible for providing critical insights and strategic recommendations to support both the successful launch of a new drug indication and Amgen’s launched Neuroimmunology product, UPLIZNA. The ideal candidate will use their background in business analytics to effectively communicate complex data-driven insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Build analytics solutions that answer the most critical questions to help inform the strategy of the Neuroimmunology BU and drive operational focus and efficiency

  • Develop and implement the business analytics strategy and roadmap, aligned with the goals and objectives of the new drug indication launch

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, medical affairs, and market access, to understand their analytical needs and provide actionable insights

  • Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, patient demographics, and other relevant data to identify market opportunities and inform strategic decision-making

  • Use advanced statistical methods and data modeling techniques to analyze complex data sets and generate meaningful insights.

  • Collaborate with data vendors and external partners to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and other data visualization tools to effectively communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders

  • Monitor key performance indicators (critical metrics) and track the progress of the new drug indication launch, providing regular updates and performance reports to senior leadership

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in pharmaceutical business analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies related to data privacy and security.

Flexible Commuter position to Deerfield, Illinois office. You will work on-site 2-3 days a week.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of analytics experience

Or

Master’s degree and 3 years of analytics experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of analytics experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of analytics experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in finance, data analysis, strategy consulting or other quantitative fields

  • Demonstrated success developing and presenting solutions to complex business situations, supported by sound and thorough analytics

  • Highly proficient analytical and software skills aimed at data analysis

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data management and data platforms (such as Microsoft SQL Server), statistical modeling packages (such as Python, SAS, and/or, R) and office productivity software (Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel)

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI/Tableau)

  • Proficient in the use and interpretation of pharmaceutical data including Rx, physician and claims level data sets

  • Strong ability to effectively analyze/interpret market research data to identify risks to the company

  • High degree of independence and exceptional work ethic

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Professional, proactive demeanor

  • Strong interpersonal skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
