The Operations Technology team is responsible for the design, development and support of the technology that our colleagues in manufacturing use to get products to every patient, every time. The Artificial Intelligence tools we deploy throughout the business add value for our patients. Are you looking for a role in which you collaborate with business owners and vendors to prioritise, launch and implement cutting-edge AI technologies? Then this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

  • Work with manufacturing and engineering teams on business process mapping, data science, user story creation, and agile solution development (proof-of-concepts, MVPs, full solutions)
  • Work in a team of data scientists, engineers and analysts both from inside and outside the company, as well as with our global colleagues throughout Amgen
  • Adopt Agile SCRUM development methodology in developing solutions
  • Develop and support AI and Machine Learning solutions using Python, machine learning models, and Generative AI
  • Create and enhance AI visualisations for end users

What we expect of you

Required experience and skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Similar and 5+ years of total experience with 4+ years of relevant development and design experience
  • Self-motivated individual with demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and technologies, work multi-functionally in teams (internal and external)
  • Working both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Strong experience in business analysis, process mapping, and data analytics / data science
  • Expertise in programming languages, mainly SQL, Python and JavaScript
  • Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of new platforms, languages, tools and technologies
  • Good communicator and analytical skills
  • Experience in analysing (large) data sets
  • Recent experience with Generative AI and/or computer vision or other machine learning algorithms is a plus
  • Experience working with Cloud solutions (AWS preferred)

Preferred experience and skills:

  • Experience working with big data platforms (Databricks preferred)
  • Background in pharmaceutical engineering or manufacturing
  • Continuous improvement methodology (i.e. LEAN, Kaizen, etc.)
  • SAFe Agile certification
  • Data analysis experience by using analytics, visualization, and database technologies (SQL, Python – NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, JavaScript – ReactJS or other visualisation packages)
