STRATEGIC PLANNING AND OPERATIONS MANAGER

What you will do

In this vital role you will provide functional process management activities to optimize the performance of functional areas within Global Development Operations (GDO) by developing, managing and implementing effective business processes and improvements.

  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with internal partners to support and respond to business needs including progress of functional goals and other process improvements
  • Partner with GDO Strategic Planning & Operations (SPO) team to explore alignments in cross-functional processes and find innovative solutions that elevate the strategic values of GDO
  • Collaborate with GDO Functional Head to support organization wide initiatives including creating and leading organizational communication and staff engagement plans.
  • Establish fit for purpose expense management strategies to support planning, tracking and reporting in Anaplan
  • Work closely with Finance partners to ensure appropriate budgeting process
  • Ensure adherence to corporate training and compliance requirements
  • Provide staff operations support including headcount management, open headcount/requisition tracking and reconciliations to ensure best resource allocation aligned with the organization’s strategic direction
  • Manage organizational meetings including All-Staffs, Joint Leadership Teams, cross-functional collaborations and global operating reviews

  • Degree educated
  • Biopharmaceutical industry experience and understanding of clinical trial execution
  • Hands-on experience with full lifecycle implementations
  • Knowledge of professional services suppliers and outsourcing models
  • Strong relationship management and effective communication (oral and written), ability to navigate matrix environments, working well with peers and leadership
  • Proactive, quick learner, autonomous and goal-driven
  • Experience with Project Management methodologies, tools and processes (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Teams, SharePoint) is ideal
