Job Description
The Marketing Senior Associate reports to the OBU Strategic Planning & Operations Director and supports the US Oncology Business Unit brand teamsonthe management of Cross-Franchise Marketing. The Business Unit-level support includescoordinationof state society memberships, sponsorships, exhibits, related budget, and vendor relationships. Responsibilities in this role also includescompliance system submissions, contract and payment management, supplier set up, tangible benefits tracking, and coordination of events and benefits between home office and field. The Marketing Senior Associate will also coordinate all GPO-related sponsorships and exhibits for National Accounts Team.
The individual will have the opportunity to manage projects associated with any needed updates to cross-franchise congress materials and will also manage the NCCN annual permissions contract with vendor and consult with marketing and medical to ensure contract encompasses most pertinent permissions needed. The Marketing Senior Associate will also be involved in several special projects across the OBU (for example: All Staff meetings, consulting projects, fee for service agreements with HCPs, etc.) and will support the Strategic Planning & Operations Director with the execution of the OBU daily operations and strategy. One key role of the Marketing Senior Associate, in support of the OBU strategy, is supporting the optimization of cross-franchise OBU Media spend and helping to identify synergies across brands.
This role will work cross-functionally with brand Marketing teams, Sales, Account Management Team, National Accounts, Compliance, Global Strategic Sourcing, and Contracted entities to ensure all pertinent forms, attestations and evaluations are completed and processed in a timelyand compliant manner. The role is also seen as the Business unit representative for compliance processes and systems.
Example activities could include:
Working with regional marketing leads and brand teams on state society sponsorships
Communicating with sales leadership on prioritization of state sponsorships
Cross-functional collaboration with National Accounts team regarding GPO Sponsorships
OBU All-Staff support
Preparing marketing materials requiring Materials and Compliance Review process (MAC)
Coordinating and working with vendors to create SOWs
Processing approval forms and obtaining supporting documentation
Processing payment requests
Preparation of PowerPoint slides for leadership presentations
Arranging in-person meetings
Managing sponsorships budget and tracking expense toward plan
Ad-hoc special projects across the OBU franchise
Basic Qualifications
Master’s degree
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of marketing and/or sales experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 6 years of marketing and/or sales experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of marketing and/or sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Experience managing relationships with both internal and external partners
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong project management skills
Ability to thrive in a high-performance culture
