Senior Associate, Finance - Rare Disease Business Unit (RDBU)
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will provide crucial support in financial management including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. You'll work closely with the finance manager and other team members to help make informed financial decisions.
Key activities for the Senior Associate, Finance include:
- Responsible for the consolidation of RDBU Sales, Units, and Components of Growth across all key planning and reporting cycles including Forecast / Budget, Latest Outlook, Long-Range Plan, and Quarter-Close activities.
- Lead the preparation of executive presentation materials, including the maintenance, construction and continued improvement of best-in-class models used to support the consolidation process.
- Lead the Daily and Weekly sales consolidation and reporting process across the RDBU team.
- Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers for each brand, including the ability to correlate the changes in these drivers to explain key sales variances vs. Forecast / Budget or other planning benchmarks.
- Serve as the central point of contract for cross-functional sales questions and ad-hoc requests.
- Support the recurring delivery of Brand P&L reporting.
- Support the continued integration of Legacy Horizon products to Amgen systems.
- Partner with the RDBU brand teams to enhance overall planning and reporting efficiencies.

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of finance experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 6 years of finance experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with corporate planning software and strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail oriented; excellent analytical and math skills
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and team environment
- Able to take the initiative and work under a minimum of direction

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
