STRATEGIC PLANNING AND OPERATIONS SENIOR MANAGER

What you will do
In this vital role you will manage day-to-day operations of the business across Clinical Program Operations (CPO), partnering closely with the VP and the CPO Senior Leadership Team (CPO SLT) to maintain alignment and to develop and reviewing CPO functional strategy.
- Provide functional process management to develop and implement organizational strategy and priorities
- Support the VP in development and execution of organizational plans, engagement and communication plans, preparation of executive dashboards, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Provide direction to the Strategic Planning and Operations (SPO) Manager on the day-to-day business operations, departmental goals and meeting management
- Partner with the VP PRM and CPO SLT to manage budget and headcount
- Partner with Global Development Operations (GDO) SPO for CPO related activities to ensure alignment and seamless representation for GDO
- Manage the CPO related communications
- Contribute to high-impact cross-functional initiatives of strategic importance to the business
- Gather, analyze and synthesize information on specific topics as requested by VP
- Partner with other functions such as Human Resources, Finance, Information Services, and Compliance to complete organizational priorities
- Provide oversight for select business processes when appropriate
- Manage and mentor staff to standardize and deliver on business operations, GDO operations, and organizational initiatives.
- Implement solutions that improve the effectiveness of the CPO SLT

- Degree educated
- Work experience in life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in R&D
- Proven leader with experience leading cross-functional teams

- Excellent cross-functional communication skills and a decisive yet affiliative leadership style to drive results while maintaining relationships
- Demonstrated organization management experience including developing and mentoring staff
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate a functional strategy and to work in a fast-paced, multi disciplinary and matrixed environment and prioritize deliverables independently
- Quick and proactive learner, creative thinker and continuous innovation mentality
