What you will do
Job Description
Development Supply Chain (DSC) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products, process knowledge and technology solutions to enable Amgen’s accelerated product commercialization. DSC serves as a launch site to enable speed to market for Amgen’s innovative products and biosimilars.
The Production Planning & Sourcing organization manages all aspects of manufacturing and supply planning, scheduling, materials/sourcing management and master data activities for DSC in all phases of pre-clinical, clinical and commercial development.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and integrity of Critical non-GMP and GMP ERP Master data, potentially impacting Quality/Form/Fit/Function, in an accurate and timely manner and in collaboration with Corporate Master Data group.
- Review requests and create non-GMP and GMP Material Masters in ERP
- Populate material views within ERP system guided by workflow
- Create Master Data within ERP system directed by Change Controls within requested timelines
- Create and maintain accurate information on the BOM
- Ensure all work is completed with minimal disruption and in compliance with all cGMP guidelines and Amgen procedures.
- Find opportunities to optimize process improvements within the Master Data environment.
- Apply standard Supply Chain and MRP planning principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Review and rationalize BOM requirements for new and existing products.
- Support initiatives to improve business processes, reporting, and metrics.
- Under minimal supervision, perform work successfully completing operational objectives and improving existing systems and processes within scope of responsibility.
- Responsible for the coordination of logistics activities, regular collaborate with internal and external clients, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and communicate regular updates to key partners including senior management.
- Support the Supply Chain business process by finding opportunities and providing key potential solutions that will provide automation, advanced analytics, and insights to support strategic decision making.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
Or
Master’s degree and 2 years of Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 8 years of Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Science, Engineering, or Operations
- 7+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- 2+ years with widely used planning and analytics applications such as SAP and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Quick process understanding, insight, and visualization.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong continuous improvement mentality and lean practice's experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both vertically and horizontally through multiple channels.
- Proven leadership skills and organizational abilities.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally within an organization.
- Command of complexity and ambiguity, with the ability to collect, digest, and assemble information for relevant business analyses and decision-making.
- Self-starter with high attention to detail, able to work independently.
- Energetic, diligent, highly motivated with a “can do” outlook.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, with strong initiative and curiosity.
- Capable of operating under pressure situations.
- Strong drive, sense of urgency, and problem-solving abilities.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
