In this vital role supporting Amgen Manufacturing Limited LLC in Puerto Rico your primary responsibilities as Finance Manager include Financial Planning and Analysis, support to site functions for monthly actual activities, as well as budget, latest estimates and future year projections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and develop budget, long-range plan, and quarterly forecast processes for assigned functions at the Site to ensure accurate and timely system submissions.
- Assist business partners in all financially relevant matters to ensure strategy and business changes are accurately presented in projections and actual results.
- Provide key financial support and analysis on an ad-hoc basis to help drive business performance with a continued improvement approach.
- Provide key support on multiple projects, formulate and clearly deliver complex information, issues, and recommendations in both written and oral presentations.
- Interact with various finance and cross-functional teams to understand impact to budget/long range plans.
- Support productivity initiatives through reporting, tracking, and savings analysis.
- Support development of standard cost for manufactured items as required.
- Prepare, analyze, and present operating expense forecasts, costs of good manufacturing (COGM), costs per unit and other financial indicators to senior management.
- Track financials and prepare monthly/quarterly reports on actual performance.
- Provide high quality, timely and business-sense financial and/or technical advice to management and or peers.
- Analyze complex problems, integrate disciplinary and business strategy knowledge to develop recommendations.
- High level understanding of existing digital technologies and data analytics approaches in financial processes.

Minimum requirements:
- Doctorate degree or
- Master’s degree and 2 years of Finance or Accounting experience or
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Finance or Accounting experience or
- Associate’s degree and 10 years of Finance or Accounting experience or
- High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of Finance or Accounting experience
Preferred requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Economics.
- +5 years’ proven experience in financial accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, and planning within the manufacturing industry.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both in written and oral communication.
- Experience with SAP, Hyperion and/or other large ERP and consolidation tools.
- Advanced hands-on analytical skills, ability to translate business problems into financial models, cross-functional data collection and advanced financial analysis.
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Intermediate knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and other data visualization tools to support dynamic reporting and analytical insights.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- General knowledge of Project management and Lean-Six Sigma methodology.
- Ability to demonstrate judgment, work in teams and make appropriate recommendations.
- Energetic, detail oriented, highly motivated with a “can do” outlook.
- Flexibility to work with different time zones.
