SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER (SYSTEM OWNER)

What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible to provide work group supervision and technical expertise in support of successfully completing daily operations within scope of responsibility and will be a key interface between Facilities & Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams. This is an outstanding opportunity to seek a variety of challenges and responsibilities in support to our manufacturing facility at Amgen Manufacturing Limited in Juncos, Puerto Rico.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and coordinate daily activities of personnel responsible for monitoring operational performance and regulatory/safety compliance of equipment or systems.
  • Manage equipment alarms and response, as well as spare parts and maintenance job plans execution and updates.
  • Ensure systems, assets and equipment comply with established performance standards and all applicable procedures and regulations.
  • Interacts with internal and external regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with cGMP, DOT and OSHA requirements.
  • Implement and update current and new processes, systems, assets and equipment.
  • Identify and oversee implementation of new and improved business and compliance systems and tools.
  • Partner with key internal customer groups and/or external suppliers to ensure successful operations and performance targets are achieved.
  • Responsible for business continuity programs for assigned areas.
  • Manage and support Quality and Environmental Health & Safety investigations.
  • Provide and coordinate the development of business cases that demonstrate the impact of current or proposed operations plans.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 2 years of manufacturing operation support experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of manufacturing operation support experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 8 years of manufacturing operation support experience

Or

High School diploma / GED and 10 years of manufacturing operation support experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering background.
  • Experience in supply chain, manufacturing and/or facilities & engineering.
  • Familiarity with validation, change control processes and computerized maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge in systems such as Maximo, Trackwise and SAP
  • Strong technical writing knowledge for equipment assessments documentation in work orders and alarms response.
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Strong project management, financial savvy and presentation skills.
  • Change management and good decision-making skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills
