Job Description: Business Unit Manager, Oncology, Egypt
Scope
Responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Oncology Sales & Marketing within Egypt, with a focus on driving sustainable revenue growth and operational excellence.
Reporting Line
Reports directly to Egypt Country Lead.
Key Accountabilities
Maximize the growth of the Oncology Business Unit in Egypt
Develop and execute local strategies in alignment with regional business plans and brand strategies
Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including Sales and Marketing Associates, to achieve performance objectives related to sales, market share, and budget targets
Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of international strategies via active participation in the International Brand Teams (IBTs); ensure effective local implementation of global branding and tactical directions
Optimize field force effectiveness in collaboration with the Commercial Excellence Manager
Develop annual sales goals and budgets in partnership with the Country Lead; lead the execution of the Country Operating Plan (COP) for the business unit
Collaborate closely with the Medical Manager to design and implement integrated Medical Affairs and promotional strategies
Build and present business cases to secure additional resources or support growth opportunities beyond the existing budget
Provide strong leadership, talent development, and succession planning across the team through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Ensure all Sales and Marketing operations are done with alignment with Amgen local SOPs
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
2–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management
2–3 years of experience in marketing management
Proven track record of business success, including product launches
Fluency in English (oral and written) is essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Prior experience managing teams of a relevant size and scope is highly desirable
