Supply Chain Senior Manager – Global Supply Chain Lead

What you will do

Let’s change the world.  In this vital role, you will lead the end-to-end supply chain for a product portfolio, with a strong focus on reliable patient supply, long-term value, and cross-functional alignment. Working across functions, you will anticipate risks and opportunities, turn insights into clear plans, and enable timely decisions that protect continuity of supply. You will also help shape supply chain and lifecycle choices that strengthen resilience and improve financial performance. The role sits within a multinational and multicultural environment that offers strong opportunities for collaboration, learning, and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

Strategy:

  • Provide thought leadership in shaping end-to-end product supply strategies, orchestrating long-range and monthly planning cycles, and driving business-critical lifecycle management decisions and implementation of product strategies.

  • Ensure every patient, every time by proactively anticipate risks and opportunities, leading cross-functional Supply Chain Teams to develop mitigation plans to protect continuity of supply.

  • Represent Global, Regional, and Site Supply Chain in cross-functional product teams, driving alignment on the end-to-end product supply strategy, key risks, opportunities and lifecycle decisions.

  • Advise on manufacturing site selection, network evaluations and business cases by translating end-to-end supply chain insights and scenarios into clear recommendations that influence supply chain design.

  • Lead and support strategic Global Supply Chain initiatives, including acquisitions, integrations and transformations, to enable continued growth.

Execution:

  • Ensure global demand and supply plans are aligned with the agreed product supply strategy and provide a reliable basis for decision making through the planning cycle.

  • Monitor product supply and inventory performance against agreed targets and guardrails, using metrics and exceptions to identify issues and drive timely corrective actions.

  • Set and maintain appropriate inventory targets and guardrails for assigned products, working with manufacturing sites, network planning and Finance to maintain a healthy supply plan and protect continuity of supply. Consider cost and financial impact in product supply and inventory decisions, while keeping continuity of supply and patient service as key priorities.

  • Maintain an end-to-end understanding of the product supply chain, including lead times, critical raw materials, capacity and other key planning assumptions, and ensure these are reflected in supply decisions.

  • Share and develop best practices across the Global Supply Chain network through initiatives that improve supply chain processes, systems and ways of working.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of Supply Chain, Operations or directly related experience OR

  • Master’s degree and 4 years of Supply Chain, Operations directly or related experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Supply Chain, Operations directly or related experience OR

  • Associate degree and 10 years of Supply Chain, Operations or directly related experience OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain, Operations or directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in applying advanced planning techniques as it relates to demand, supply, inventory planning, financials, and Mfg. network planning.

  • Excellent communication capabilities and must be comfortable and confident dealing with all levels of management within the organization.

  • Strong digital mindset, with demonstrated ability to leverage digital tools, data, and automation to improve supply chain planning insights and decision making.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes across a matrix organization.

  • 7 plus years of experience in global pharmaceutical, biotech or any other industry.

  • Solid understanding of demand/supply planning, Supply Chain principles and logistics.

  • Ability to perform system-based advanced supply planning and scenario analysis.

  • Diligent with strong business analytical skills and company-wide knowledge.

  • Process-oriented mentality with leadership experience to identify gaps and seek solutions.

  • Perseverance and independent problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge and understanding of COGM, COGS and NPV analyses.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
